I think they have been way overrated these past few seasons. All the BS about ‘Hokball’ and the Lizard was a medya-driven click-bait testicle-tickler. An overrated forward line (apart from Gunston) and a backline that only scares minnows. They will be found out again next year - Merrett won’t make a great deal of difference if the Hacks snaffle him, he’s another overrated dud (what has he ever achieved apart from being the captain of a club that’s been falling to pieces for 20+ years?). Who else might they realistically bring in? No one worth noticing.

The Hacks are the footy medya’s fever dream, conjured up to provide some sort of resistance to the Cats juggernaut. Get real, flogs!
