The crazy thing for me is I just ran the numbers and $944M AUD government contribution corresponds to $507M 2021 USD.

On that chart it puts the taxpayer contribution above the internationally recognised brand of the Denver Broncos, but behind the Dallas Cowboys.

It would be the 8th highest on that list. The NFLs revenue is 19x higher than the AFLs.

I want to grow footy but it's wild we're even considering it.

No you didn't, you independently went to Blockbuster in the year 2005 and you saw it on the shelf and were like "this looks interesting and cool but I don't know if the guys will want to watch it" and you selected it and took it home... but when you walked through the door of your house you sandwiched the DVD case of 10 Things between the more hypermasculine films you got to compensate in Bad Boys 2 and Black Hawk Down just in case your flatmates wanted to see what you rented out.

Then you put the DVD case in your DVD player in your bedroom when your flatmates went to sleep and you watched it and you laughed and cried and clapped at the end. But you went to sleep that night and forgot to remove the disc from the DVD player and your friends came in and went to put on The Matrix and when 10 Things I Hate About You came out of the player made fun of you and you were like "LEAVE ME ALONE, IT SUCKED, I DIDN'T EVEN WATCH IT, GUYS I TURNED IT OFF AFTER 5 MINUTES I SWEAR" and ever since then you always say you hate it when it comes up in conversation but deep down you know it's amazing.

I did watch it but I don't remember really liking it all that much, I think it was okay.
