Fair enough Essendon played well and deserved the (albeit large) win, however the Haw v Melb game was a blight on round 1 and a real concern for the AFL.

We posted a massive profit (~3mill IIRC) last year.
Our on field performance keeps improving.
Our average crowd attendance last year was more than 44,000 (ie. double your membership).
We voted not to merge with you in '96.

You havent even hit to 20,000 mark for members this year (ie. lowest in the league).
You survive off handouts from the AFL.
Your supporters prefer to go skiing than go to your games.
You are on target for a wooden spoon this year.
You voted to merge with us in '96.
