Against the Crows.
Things that worked
1. Woey permanantly on a wing able to run anywhere between both goal squares.
2. Holland running out of the backline (maybe found a new position)
3. Cole's tackling, sacraficed his natural game.
4. O'Bree as a permanant half forward.
5. Lokan moving onto McLeod. Limited the leagues best to a handful after quarter time
6. Using Lonie as an on baller in the last quater.

Things that failed.
1. No Ruckman
2. Clement on Burns
3. Molloy - can't seem to get near the ball
4. Scotland (found the pace too quick after coming back into the 1's - will get better)
5. Josh - lost all form
6. Ben Johnston - surely will be dropped this week, has not played well all year.
7. Ryce Shaw - a waste of time taking him over there.

Clement on Burns.

I think partly why this failed was Clement taking Cloke's job of being third man up at a contest and spoiling. One thing he can't do as well as Cloke and it let the ball get down to Burns while Clement was still picking himself up.

1. Woey was a revelation. Occassionally got in to packs and fought for the hard ball and tackled, too. Great game - thanks Ayres for poor tactics.
2. I have said all along that Holland is a better player than McGough. Great game.
3. Cole was good - but isn't tackling part of his natural game?
4. O'Bree will never be a great forward. However he was more than handy on Saturday and it will add another string to his bow
5. Lokan on to McCleod freed up Licuria to chase the ball rather than an opponent. His pace makes him a very dangerous tagger on the rebound. Great move by MM.
6. Lonie can play anywhere. Putting him on the ball not only created two goals, but also allowed us to have more muscle in the back half when the game was there to be won/lost

1. Very harsh on McKee. Outstanding game against bigger and better opponents. The Crows should have won in the ruck and they didn't.
2. Clement has lost all confidence. His poor ball handling in the last quarter nearly cost us the match. He is too good a player to be dropped - he will run into form soon enough. With Cole and Holland in the side MM has the option to swing Clement forward to get some confidence up.
3. Molloy is a luxury we cannot afford. Bring back Rupe.
4. Scotland needs a few more runs.
5. Josh. What to do? Dunno.
6. Johnson played above himself last year - his lack of skill is being exposed. Deserves a few more chances.
7. Shaw - on the rotation list with Rupe, McGough, Freeborn, Scotland etc. Wasn't too bad on Saturday.

Clement up forward would be a good move. I think he is a natural attacking footballer with a very accurate and long kick.

We got killed in the Ruck, it ended up with our onballers roving to their Ruck.
As it was it turned out OK, but at some time we have to address this glaring deficiency.

Agree - we can no longer afford Molloy (at least not on current form).

What to do with Josh? Have no idea, maybe give him a couple of weeks in the 2's, but if we were to have injuries in a game we would miss his height - its a dilema.

Maybe we should play Clement on the wing . He has good pace , good accurate and penetrating kick . Clement could be the perfect attacking wingman , especially if we are able to switch play quickly and free him up on his own .

Impressed with Cole's effort . His tackling was superb , 6 tackles , 2nd only to Buckley .

Holland had a great game also . His 2nd quarter was fantastic when he repelled many a Crows attack .

Great move to put Lokan onto McLeod . Allowed Licuria to play his natural game which is to get the ball instead of trying to stop McLeod . This allowed us to play another attacking midfielder , rather than an attacking midfielder playing defensively .
