I think that we should be able to win this week against the Dockers but obviously this is easier said than done.
I haven't seen the dockers play at all this year but i assume from their results that they have improved.

Peter Bell will be the danger in the midfield i think Sziller should be played on him. Croad will be picked up by Gaspar i assume that he is coming back into the team.

Gaspar for Hilton will probably be the only change.

I'm tipping a win for us by 4-5 goals but it is a danger game.

someone better tell Houlihan to be a bit harder at the footy otherwise he could be the other ommission

Yes, very good observation! He did start well in the Wizard Cup and the first round but has dropped off since then. Perhaps he needs a swig of whatever it was that Rory had!

There is some huge match ups in the wings here.

Gasper vs Croad will be good
Holland vs Longmuir again could decide the match
Pavlich vs Ottens probally the most vital one

Out of interest if Richardson playing?
Who will you be playing on Farmer and Medhurst?
Haselby is on fire so I would suggest a tag for him to

Ray Hall is another that may get to pick up J. Lo

Richardson is unlikely to be available for another 2 - 3 weeks.

Torney has successfully tormented Farmer over the past few years and I would expect this to continue in his 100th game. Fiora is the most likely opponent for Medhurst. Chaffey is another option for either of these two.

What you will find is that we won't go overboard with the tagging - Sziller will tag, but that will be about all. Everyone else will be lined up to compete with an opponent one on one. If we aim at tagging everyone, we become too defensive and don't send enough ball forward to enable us to win the game.

Richo won't be playing.
Torney would probably be inline for Farmer if not him then possible Zantuck. I'm not sure about Medhurst like I said in my previous post I haven't seen him play so i'm not sure who for him. If Haselby gets tagged King may go with him but Knights has also been used in that role a bit. I agree the battle between Pavlich and Ottens will be the most important one depending on how much time he spends up forward.

Rabble

The shockers are a rabble who turnovers are about as bad as ours in our dark ages of the early 90's.
6 goals win, or were kidding ourselves.
Rodgers has to be dropped. Just doesnt do enough for someone on a fat salary and 9 years experience.

Well thats something you would know a lot about:p

6 goals may be going a bit too far but if both teams perform at their best we would win by 2-4 goals...

You know what Sabre, you are 100% right! Diggler will really be eating his words once Rogers comes out and plays a blinder! :D

I think Freo will be hard to beat this weekend IMHO.

Changes should be:

IN: Pettifer
Coughlan
Gaspar

OUT: Stafford
Hilton
Knights:eek:

THE TEAM:

B: Torney Gaspar Zantuck
HB: Chaffey Holland Campbell
C: Tivendale Bowden Cameron
HF: Houlihan Ottens Fiora
F: Krakouer A.Kellaway Rodan
R: Hall, King, Sziller

Int: Coughlan, Rogers, Poyas, Pettifer.

#Andy Kellaway or Dutchy up forward
#Sziller on Bell, Torney on Farmer, Gaspar on Croad/J-Lo.
#Give Houlihan, Bowden, Tivendale a wake up call.
#Play Fiora as an attacking option, please.
#Campbell off half back seems to work.

We should win, but we need to have ever player commited to the cause, Freo aren't the team they used to be, they actually have some good potentialto win!

Only a junior member would say that- Another slice of humble pie 4 diggler thanks.:D :p

If we don't win, I'll be devastated ...

I"M GOING TO THE MATCH! And I'm excited ;).

Yeah bring in Coughlan, he played well last time he was over here.

Good for you RichmondFan, cos that's the only way anyone will get to see or hear the match! Unless you have Fox of course. No free to air TV or radio coverage. Not happy!

Hey Kat i'm hope you have a Exellent time at the game and i'm sure Richmod will win for you since it's the only time we play in Perth this season :D.i'm so glade i have fox footy so i'll be able to watch the game live on Sunday afternoon.

Do Richmond fans think that Sziller has the endurance to run with Bell. I think he would be suited to Hasleby. Robert Harvey tried to run with Bell and all he did was cramp up and injure his calf.

The games that I have seen Richmond shows Sziller to be a good tagger but I can't see him running out 17km in the match.

Not even sure that Sziller will be used entirely as a defensive tag! While he often get's a job each week, he is also expected to get plenty of the ball himself. 15 - 20 touches a week is not unusual.

I think you will find that Sziller, King and maybe even Knights will run against Bell for various portions of the match.

You will also notice that we rotate our midfielders possibly more than any other team in the comp. Expect each one of them to spend time on the bench resting.

(And that means, Drew Morphett, that when Campbell comes off at the 20 minute mark of each quarter, he is not being dragged! It is just a part of a deliberate rotation!)

I put this one down as a winner for us.I believe that we will outrun your lot.And have more pace around the ground. It will be very hard game for both sides but playing at home the Dockers will win.

More pace? Too much endurance? Mate, you could say many things about Richmond and what we do badly but picking on these two are just plain wrong.

If nothing else, we have plenty of pace and edurance - it is one of our biggest bitches that we have too many running, wingmen types and not enough grunts!

Outrun us?
You are soooo ill-informed !
CJH your sumation is spot on.

Anchor Man you should never get your teams aspirations confused with their abillities.
