Happens this time of year with the shit teams who can't make finals. They try and fight to make up for their lack of any skill they have, knowing full well that they won't be retaliated against because Collingwood players don't want to be suspended.

Happened a few years back against Richmond. They tried to fight against us late in the season when they couldn't make the finals, the Jake King incident (not that much has changed since then).

Thomas = 2 weeks down to 1 with an early plea.

Lower hit on Thomas = 4-5 weeks, straight to the tribunal, one of the worst deliberate hits of the season, clear retaliation for Thomas' early hit.

Dale Thomas getting suspended is a more important issue. You'd want as many looks at the incident as you could get in such a case.

It won't be "intentional", he wasn't intending to hit him in the head.

Basically it's a toss up between Reckless/Negligent. Reckless gets him 3 weeks, Negligent gets him 2.

Where are you getting 225 from? Reckless/High/Medium is Level 3, which translates to 325 points according to the table on their website.
