If i could choose between the two of them i would go Shaw, simply because our need for a big power forward is much greater than that of our need for a developing ruckman. we have Clarke there who is coming along nicely. Not saying i would not want Moller because he seems a great talent. Who would you guys pick if you had the coice.

I was basing my statement about Moller being one of the best ruck prospects in this draft on the information that Knightmare gives and also the fact that he has him basically a top ten pick in his mock draft, although being a long way out from draft and lots can change.

I'd take Mason aswell, not easy to find potential KPF. Take a chance could be the next Pav, if not well you never know if you don't take the chance. Better that than a skinny hff.

I'm also curious as to why we havn't signed any more NSW Scholarship players. Other clubs have loads of scholarship players on their radar, even the poorer clubs. By the end of this years draft period we will have none. Maybe the club will announce one at some point this year.

Next st international rookies & established athletes outside AFL. :o

We should scour the US for big, fast black dudes who didn't quite make it to the NBA or NFL.

Tempt them over here by explaining how they'll be the most famous player in the AFL even if they're no good and that every little handball or regulation mark will be replayed 200 times in super slo-mo.

and all the girls that wanna go black.... ;)

Its a free hit though or a free ticket in the player lottery due to the international rookie scheme. The more tickets you have the more chances we have of hitting the jackpot. Sure the international rookie tickets may have odds of 1:20 versus 1:3 in the normal draft lottery. But it all increases our chances of finding another player.

Look at Brisbane, Collingwood and Sydney. Brisbane´s Hanley and McKeever have been great (although the latter has been dropped, he is still early on in this caper and learning the game). Collingwood with Marty Clarke. Sydney with Kennelly, Pyke and Walsh. All of these players were picked up with the equivalent of pick 200 (i.e. after the National Draft and Rookie Drafts).

Heck the example of most ruckman in the league illustrate that in particular, big athletic tall men can make a transition after a few years despite not growing up with the game (e.g. Zac Clarke, Tippett, Zac Smith etc).

Mcnamara has shown good signs in the VFL. The great thing is guys like him, Pyke and Starling are professional athletes with attitudes to match.
