30th Nov 1982, Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' album was released. It spent 190 weeks on the UK album chart became the biggest selling pop album of all time, with sales over 50 million copies. Seven singles were released from the album, including 'Beat It', which featured guitarists Eddie Van Halen and Steve Lukather and 'Billie Jean'.

I like Billie Jean as a song without loving it. I hate every other song on the album. Over blown load of shit.

Off the Wall was a better album. Back when he was still black and still cool.

I don't own any Michael Jackson records, but do have Jackson 5/Jacksons Greatest Hits and that is one cool record.

You can see why Thriller sold so many copies. Billie Jean & Beat it are massive songs, whilsts there were 2-3 other hits. But as a whole it is one of MJ's lesser records. As JD said, the sound off Off the Wall was excellent, it was groovier. You could also argue that Bad is a more consistent album.

I dont own any MJ albums either, but have the HIStory album, as well as the King of Pop album and some Jackson 5 songs from other sources. A good singles artist with the odd decent album.

Prob no other Artist/band will get close to those sales with all the downloads etc going on these days.What were hes live sets acts like? I dont own any MJ albums i think i have his number ones dvd i got for xmas few years back.Still dont mind some of his early work when it pops up on the radio.

I caught the last 20 or so minutes of the Bad 25 Doco
God the guy really put effort into his music videos. Brilliant stuff.

Played the shit out of parents Dangerous album in the early 90's.
But.. More a Prince Man nowdays
