Mixed bag today. Two vital goals and a couple of bad clangers.

With Chappy injured it opens up a spot for him, even taking in to account the return of SJ.

It is possibly the only chance he will get, so hopefully he makes the most of it.

He'll probably get more props than his game deserved because of the two goals, but you've got to start somewhere.

He was opportunistic which is what we need from midsized forwards, but i was again worried about his second and third efforts.

Not sold on him yet.

Was very confident on his set shot's for goal. Good finisher who took his chances.

Need's to do more but servicable first game.

Need's to work harder in the gym (put some muscle on).

He could a be a good replacement for Chapman as he's a goalkicking half/forward on ball type. Takes a good mark for his size. Probably needs to add a few strings to his bow.

Good to see him make his debut.

For a first game there were plenty of positives.

Yes, there were a few blunders, but hey, even the senior players still make their fair share. I can forgive him for that, he'll learn from it.

He's not afraid to put his body on the line, which earned him a free in the last quarter from which he drilled the goal.

I thought he worked hard defensively, an area which is his weakness. But that can still be worked on.

As for his goal kicking, it is just sublime. I had full confidence in him kicking both goals.

He'll learn so much from yesterday. I was just pleased he finally got a chance.

yeah great story to make your debut at 23. Looks like he has jumped the line ahead of Haynes and Mackie.

Not the same sort of player, Thurley if he continues to improve could be another small forward/ part of the midfield rotation.
