Hehe. At the top of the page you linked to, it says "Pre-purchace [sic] your footy ticket now!"

Must be the same guy who grafittied the club rooms...

Anyway - nope, you got me. I went with my Weagles supporting cousin to the Port-WCE game last week and I was surprised to see the tickets were over $30 each....

There's gotta be a reason but I can't think of it...

Ticket prices
Why are our tickets so much cheaper than Port's?
Anyone explain?

At a guess I would suggest its to encourage Port supporters to buy a season ticket which is cheaper than Crows season ticket.

OK, last night I called 5AA and spoke to the off-air guy (Andrew Pearce?). He says daily ticket prices are a club decision, and that the reason the Crows prices are so much lower is that there are so few of them (and so many season ticket holders) the club can afford to charge low prices (and presumably go for a sellout). Port, on the other hand, charge higher prices because they have so many fewer season ticket holders and need the $.

I suppose that makes some sense but at $30 vs $20 for one category of ticket, I'm thinking that Port could lower the price and (a) get bigger crowds and (b) take in the same $ based on higher ticket sales.

Those cheap seats for the Crows are for the new northern stand I believe. Everywhere else they are a bit more expensive.

Don't Port sell a few cheaper seats too? I thought they sell seats behind the goals at a lower price, but there are only a limited amount of these.

Nah **** those tix as far as im aware are for all areas, undercover incl etc!

could be wrong tho... :)

Edit: Just ignore me. I see I am covering old ground. I should have just read the first link properly. Sorry.

Ok, I was wrong about the northern stand being cheaper at Crows games. All tickets at Crows games are $20.90.

But with regards to Port having a some budget tickets behind the goals I was right, but only a limited number. They are $20.90. Thought they were cheaper than that.
