Officially the beginning of the end? We all know that when the board comes out and says the club has backed the coach, it 99% of the time means that the coach is on notice. With recent performances and no improvement in sight, this could be well the beginning of the end for Dimma.

Enough to make any coach nervous. Hardwick be petrified of any unexpected upcoming 9.am meetings at the club

Sometimes you just stay focused on the task at hand and try to affect the things you can. Also if this does go in the downward direction after the Presidents words of support, no one will want to come near the club (with a proven track record) and we will go with a first time coach again......back to square one. Wouldn't make sense to me. But I can't see it happening TBH. Dimma has done more than enough in his tenure to give him at least a years grace....

If we lose to GWS, I think she would be all over. We can't go from Finals one year, to losing to sides like Bulldogs, Melbourne and GWS in the next. Just can't happen. Board knows that supporters are losing faith and aren't bothering with the rest of the season. Dimma still making questionable decisions and playing players that wouldn't get a game in the local ressie sides.

Reasonably sure that every player on the Richmond list would get a game with my local firsts! Not all at the same time of course.

I'm prepared to back dimma in (not that it counts for anything), Even though some of the stuff makes me writhe in anger and frustration. At least its good to see a statement from the club.

I'd like to see how the rest of 2014 goes before saying anything more.

It was an exaggeration mate.
I really do understand that;) I'm finding it hard not to bite at all the hyperbole is all!
Of course Hardwick should be backed, I would lose respect for an organization who, after four years of progression, sacked someone at the first sign of regression without the chance to atone.
Problems, yes. End of the world, no.

"Incase you haven't been keeping up with current events, we just got our arses kicked" etc....Arguably the best Alien movie, certainly the most action packed..

It is very disconcerting when the president comes out and says we are backing the coach. Very disconcerting.

I know what your saying, but can we just take it for what it is instead of reading subtext ?

Agree with you entirely, but it doesn't work like that just ask Matty Knights
If the big paying members and sponsors feel the negative vibes that we are stagnating then they call the tune
As I've said for weeks
He who pays the piper calls the tune

We are only the small fish in the PRO pond
I know a member from my local area that pays $5000 a year to the RFC and he is absolutely rope-able with this season
He's packed up shop until Hardwick leaves and has sent a letter with 6 other big knobs endorsing his sediments. There is $35k already from just what I'm aware of. This was done when Griffo was dropped before the pussies game and I haven't seen him since. Losing to MFC wouldn't have eased his vent on Hardwick:(

Interesting TigerImposter , especially the part with 6 big knobs endorsing his sediments ;). Humour aside I get you but I never really thought about die hard supporters taking that kind of position. Given that no matter how much you contribute most would not really be privy to the workings of the inner circle....But I may be wrong.
