Richmond - 3.0.18
Essendon - 1.0.6

4 mins gone

RFC: Richo 2 goals & Simmonds 1 goal
EFC: Monfries a goal

Perfect conditions prevail at Morwell for the beginning of today's practice match between Essendon and Richmond ... or should that be practice mis-match. The Tigers are near full strength while Essendon is missing 16 first stringers. It is basically a reserves' team tackling the likes of Kane Johnson, Matthew Richardson, Nathan Brown, Troy Simmonds and Wayne Campbell.

So let's put this match in persepctive immediately. Essendon is not expected to win but it will be an important day for its young players. The success of the day will not be dependant on the scoreboard, rather the performance of Essendon first, second and third year players. We will keep you posted! With so many senior players missing it was second-year Bomber Matthew Allan who tossed the coin. Richmond will kick with the aid of the breeze in the first quarter.

Wow. With all those players missing, its hard to make anything of this practise match. 100 has to be the minimum acceptable win.

Essendon : 34
Richmond : 121
Essendon blow, im not taking much out of this game considering 14 of their 04 starting 22 aren't playing.
Good for the youth to be getting a game, good to see Pettifer in the thick of it.
and LMAO @ how predictable the Essendon supporters are gonna be after the 100pt belting they get, i can smell it now "ohh we had no good players playing", err.. i think we've got more kids playing that seniors on our list, i think.

We wouldnt expect them to cite any other reason caster -lol.

Fair enuff i guess.

Im happy with the margin being 100 over a team of kids considering half of our
team is just that-kids.

We only won by 12 odd goals.

Worring signs?

12 goals is heaps - we were missing: Bowden, Schulz, Staff, Cogs and more

we had more kids than seniors in the team

We still faded in the last qtr,not a good fukken sign against a team of young duds,

TW-Get onto that !
