Like watson on morning glory, usually interesting and has good humour. Funny though, find him annoying and not all funny on tv (although be hard to be working with that mob on footy).
Hopefully not gaze, he is good as a guest a couple of times a week but doesnt offer enough opinions on subjects. Plus there would be too much basketball talk.

The last of the originals from the Morning Glory to depart, after a decade of doing it.
The bloke is in his 50's now and probably doesn't need to be getting up at 4.30am Monday to Friday. His move to Channel 7 full-time has been at least 20 years in the making and would suit his own life better than breakfast radio would.

Wouldn't mind John Rothfield as a replacement. Doubt he'd be interested though.
As long as the horse racing talk is kept to a minimum.
Racing is his bread and butter so you'd expect he would feast on the a bit. Just as Timmy-Timmy feasted on footy. He's by far the pick of the SEN broadcasters. The only way I could endure Maher is to have the good doctor on the other side of the mike.
I don't reckon Doc could tolerate Maher 
SEN could utilise some of the other talents more.
Matt Granland could move out of the news room into a hosting role, particularly with Maher being busy with the Big Bash over summer.

I like Parkin, but he's way too dull for any of the main slots.

The obvious choice is Gaze and he is a very likable person, but I just don't think he'd be great as a permanent. He suffers from Mark Allen-itis, where if he is caught short for actual knowledge on a subject, the 'solution' is to talk louder and repeat yourself wherever possible.
Tim Watson was quite entertaining and did ok, but he was hopelessly conflicted this year and I didn't the position he was in.

As much as I have enormous respect for Drewie's sporting achievements I'm out too if he gets the gig. At least in the mornings anyway. I'll still listen to the Ox on the way home though.
