Tim Watson Question????

Greetings,
I dont want to spend any more time in this board as i need to , but having a discussion with essendon supporting work college, about Tim Watson. I am of the belief that when Timmy first retired he was drafted by West Coast, he obviously never played a game, my work college doesn't beleive me the he was on the WCE list. was this the case or have i been hanging around ben cousins too much

It was the pre season draft. Think Mick wanted to stop any other team drafting him. Somebody else might know what went on in more detail but it was definitely done without Watson's intention heading west.

West Coast drafted watson, he never wanted to go west so didn't play.

The next year watson started doing a pre-season with st kilda and was going to be drafted by them and play with them. In 1993 we drafted timmy and he played with hirdy and the baby bombers for a flag.

Daicos was never drafted by essendon, just the standard sheedy stuff, like drafting aussie jones and mercuri this season. He always loved playing the media for suckers and did it right up to his last day.
