Time to replace Tuck with Thomson

Um pretty sure the one knock on Thomson is his kicking. Can kick goals but his field kicking can be suspect. Still probably time to give him a run.

Foley and Tuck seem to escape criticism because atleast you know they are having a crack, but we are getting no where with these guys as our main two onballers and they are generally outclassed by their opposition (we played our best game last year with axle out of the side). I agree that Thomson or Coughlan must come in for Tuck and we must try something different.

20 years ago, Tuck would have been a superstar. However, two things work against him in todays game:

-you dive on the ball you get penalised
-in todays possession game, poor foot skills kill you

He should at least be put on the table as trade bait.

Um Tuck is a SH!T load better than most of the starting 22..If some one needs to be questioned about there form, it should be foley and brown and also newman(i think it's because he now has a girlfriend and football isn't the only thing in his life). Did you watch todays game? Tuck was the only one looking like he could win his own ball. Im sorry but everybody including myself has overated foley..I would say he is an ok footballer. Jackson has got to go and he can take that dud McFlurry with him.

foley need to start running and carrying the ball more and kicking it, he has gotten into the habit of just hand balling it to someone next to him for a stat. tuck is the same. deledio at least goes forwards sometimes to have a shot. none of the midfield score many goals these days. they seem to rely on richo doing all the running and making space.

You should replace someone with Thomson. I was shocked he couldn't get into our best 22 in '07 when we made the GF, and not trying to troll (I save that for Bay 13) but yours isn't exactly the best going around right now.

You would imagine he will get a go in the next few weeks. Been playing decent games in the VFL.

Not a chance. He's very, very underrated as a player. Sure his field kicking isn't that great, but he's an inside midfielder. Goes in hard, gets the pill, releases the faster guys like Foley, Deledio, Jackson (supposedly). His set shot at goal is good though. He's our best contested ball winner. He wins a lot of the ball and none of you guys notice him that much because he wins it in close, under the packs.

If anyone's to be dropped, Jackson, McMahon and Brown. Especially Brown. He needs a reality check. Deledio's been very ordinary (doesn't matter what his stats look like) but seriously, needs to work harder.

Bring back Coughlan and give Thomson a run.
