Giles is too good to sit in the SANFL all year no idea why he'd want to come here.

this Saga will be drawn out as long as possible

i'm thinking it'll be along the lines of Rohan and 22 to Geelong
and GHS and 15 to Adelaide
Tippett to Sydney.
 
What about Rohan and 22 to Melbourne for pick 3, boofhead to Sydney?

Strong rumours that Melbourne will be using pick 3 to get into the mini-draft. And in any case, as much as the Sydney supporters like to make out that Rohan is an absolute superstar of the competition, him and pick 22 bundled together does not get pick 3.
 
When exactly did GHS become so valuable after playing only 3 games .,.... to the point of preference to Rohan who will be a star ???

This seems to be a BF thing where his status grows as legend v reality .....look he may be great but hell 3 games?? ....whose seen him play enough

The bloke they rave about at Geelong is Schmedts ....will be a star
 
Look supporters ....Sydney want Tippett bad .....they're going to get the deal done and we can sit back and say yeh/nah

Trouble is if it goes the 3 weeks will it scuttle other deals we want to do like ontrading draft picks to get Gorringe ;)

I'd just be happy to have Rohan and 22 ourselves. GHS is described as an inside midfielder that Geelong hope will come on next year. Rohan fits our needs better as a fast outside mid and despite the injury I think there are bigger expectations for him.
Not opposed to getting another inside mid but if we do I would rather Parker, who has 32 games under him already including some top shelf performances.

Irrespective ......Rohan won't go from premiership club to Melbourne ......who would ?

Why not .....and i have said before ;) ...Rohan and 22 to us?

Whilst we are doing the Tippett deal we must look at a replacement tall forward (Gorringe/Gumbleton) .......yes we have Jenkins, and if he gets an injury what is plan B?

Sando apparantly rates GHS. I thought he looked excellent in the pre-season games he played. Rohan has also an injury to get over. Rohan hasn't really set the world on fire either. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If we were chasing an inside mid I'd take Parker in a heartbeat .....will be a super player

However we need line breaking speed #1 priority ......whose around that meets that requirement and maybe available

Jetta - hell NO
Davey - too old NO

Still think we'll be doing a deal with Gold Coast .......who/how have no idea but a hunch :D

I am angry about Tippett and I couldn't even care less about Adelaide! (In a nice way you know what I mean ;) ).

I'm astounded that a club would pay him what is speculated Sydney will pay.

I'm not gona say he's a spud, a spud wouldn't do what he did in the Prelim but he is severely over-rated (from an outsider's POV - how do you guys rate him as a Crows supporter though?). Given the salary cap space you will free up, what kind of player do you think you guys will go for if anyone?

So? ....that doesn't translate to us chasing him ......I suspect Rohan is rated highly as well by Longmire ;)

Does GHS give us the line- breaker we need ?
Does Rohan?

It's about filling specific needs in the team structure, not whose the better player
 
I thought Roo had a radio show? I can't listen to 5aa anymore - the ignorance level is shocking.

We need in order, and this has been outlined by the club:
1. Line-breaking quick outside mid
2. Forward/ruckman to replace Tippett
3. Key Position Defender to replace/backup Rutten who will be 30 next year

Mate you need to look deeper. Was a punt when picked. Only played school footy because he was captain of junior Australian cricket side. No kind of pre season ever.2x u 18 games for sturt. Was always going to take longer.

Needed solid year of senior footy which he got this year.5th in liston trophy, won gf medal.

He has his own thread on cats board ...check it out. Also see thread on who they expect to kick on from vfl grand final team. They rave about him. Described as similar to Joel Corey.

Sando wants him. Good enough for me.

Think the average supporter knows more than them ......all this send Tippett to PSD and Adelaide to redraft is just emotional clap trap :thumbsdown:

Don't disagree. GHS is not slow though is he? Will Rohan's pace be affected by his injury?

Not saying he's not going to be a good player .........I am sure the attraction is because he's an Adelaide boy
Have to be bigger than that and choose the best player to fit team needs

Sando has never said he wants him ......you've put words in his mouth simply because they had a good relationship

May.....that's why you would need a thorough medical

That said if Sydney don't want to trade him, doesn't that suggest Sydney thinks his recovery will be 100%

If not wouldn't they be pushing Rohan down our throat ;)

Tip rat is a good player. Is he worth what Sydeney are paying him. Hell no. He' s not worth what we offered and not worth even his last contract. KPF's that can ruck are considered extra valuable after the substitute came in but I don't like paying Danger, Thompson and Walker less than Tiprat especially given their contributions to the side.

Even then if Sydeney want to pay him more than anyone else in the side then they should look to trade according to this worth.

I think that more than anything we need outside midfielders with speed. (see my Rohan posts) :)

That depends on how far the draft pick(s) that come with the player go towards compensating us for Tippett's value ;)
