Trevenian..........that is very, very, funny.

The whole time I was reading your Shakespeare-esque post, it was Kermit with a .45 saying it to me.

Shadows...good solid HBF for the Swannies

Just found out Shadows was an emergency for the Grand Final.

If Malceski hadn't fluked a goal in the 1st term and Young hadn't fallen over in the last, he would have been a good pick up. But, as an almost premiership hero, he's off the table.

I think that was AFGM, and I think he was on to something. The entitled private school boys seem to be more prone to leaving for money than the down to earth country boys who just love their footy. We need more Walker's, and less Tippett/Davis types.

Wasn't Danger an entitled private school boy?

Barrett tweeting to let Kurt go the the draft, and the follow up with clubs he reckons have room, and that he thinks others would make room, just gives me some hope that Sydney will work something satisfactory out.

DRAFT UPDATE FOR DICKHEADS
We've been led by the nose by Ti$$ues Tippett to Sydney coz he's money hungry and 'homesick'o_O
Sydney pulled our pants down to our ankles by saying 'no premiership player will be part of the trade'o_O
Meanwhile Dimwitriou is playing voyeur wondering whether the Swans have too many pr0n-chips:rolleyes:
We pulled them back up again by drafting another second string player whose heavier & tallero_O...CHECK
Sydney pull them them back down again and bend us over the draft table whilst unscrewing the KY Jellyo_O
Lawyers are brought in to enforce Adelaides tenable position:mad:

Get ready...here comes the pineapple:confused:

Let me share with you a little story.

It was many moons ago, in 1999, in fact.

A young forward called Leigh Colbert, who was playing with Geelong at the time, wanted to be traded to North Melbourne, despite the fact that we kept him on our list for a year, without any return, because he had an ACL.

North Melbourne originally offered Brady Rawlings. Now, Rawlings became a good player later on, but, at the time, he was a reserve-playing spud. Geelong requested a premiership player from North's 1999 team.

North obviously went through their list, and decided who from their premiership side can they afford to lose, and chose a guy who got no possessions in the game, warmed the bench, and only got junk-time. He was only playing because their regular CHF, Jason McCartney, decided to show a Brisbane player his elbow during the PF the previous week.

The player they offered us - a guy called Cameron Mooney.

Also, out of the deal, Geelong also gained three draft picks. One of these picks resulted in us drafting a player called Corey Enright.

So, they got Leigh Colbert, and he played in 0 premierships. We got Mooney, who played in two for us, and Enright, who has played in three and counting....

My point to the story is to keep pushing to get a premiership player from them. Even if they try to dud you, you may end up with gold.

You say that pick 23 was too low. The pick that North gave us, and we ended up with Enright, was in the 30's, so you never know.

North tried to screw us, and we won the deal. Push hard enough, and you may end up with two quality future stars, who are playing for you long after Tippett has retired.

Here's a deal.

A third club takes Jesse White for a second or third round pick to Sydney, and then Sydney on-trade the pick, and pick 23, to Adelaide.

You get two picks, another club pays Jesse White, and Sydney take Tippett off your hands.

Ireland has just spoken to the press in Sydney.

He has just commented that it is pure specualtion and fabrication that Kenny will be used in the Tippett trade.

Ireland commented " Kenny was a vital part of our GrandFinal team"

There is no way he will be traded.

Ireland went on to say that he thought Adelaide were being most unreasonable with this trade.

Pick 23 and White presents wonderful value and its only fair that Adelaide take White off our hands so we can afford Tippett.

Ireland finished by saying that he was most upset that flogs on BIg Footy were saying that the Swans were giving Adelaide a jolly rogering without the lube. This is most unfair he stated we have applied plenty of KY gel to Noble and co at the time.

One issue is we are probably only using two pics in the draft. At this point it's looking like picks 20 & 23.

Second rounders are useless at this point to us.

If Stalin was running the trading program of Adelaide, you'd certainly end up ahead. He was cold, calculating and sociopathic whereas Hitler was just charismatic, xenophobic and plain nuts.

You say that, if Tippett had nominated GC or Brisbane, you would have honored that, and not asked as much as you are from Sydney.

But what if GC and Brisbane were only prepared to offer you a fifth-round draft pick? What if what they offered was not satisfactory?

More over, continuing the hypothetical, say Brisbane and GC offered fourth or fifth round picks, and Sydney offered a first round pick.

Would you tell Sydney that you had an agreement with Tippett to "send him home", and deal with only GC or Brisbane, even if they are offering rubbish deals?

What would you want the club to do, if this was the case?
Comes back to whether the deal ever existed at all.

as far as im aware the concesus was that it was something wishy washy like 'get you back to QL for a reasonable trade' with the definition of reasonable being a sticking point.

If a clause existed that said something definite like 'would trade to GC or Brisbane for second round pick at tippetts option' then yes i would expect the club to honour it, i wouldnt be happy that it was there in the first place though.

Pick 8 or polec from brisbane would probably be unders but would accept that, and similar from GC. but Sydney isnt QL and Pick 23 isnt pick 8
