The salary cap issue is not about Joel... the word is apparently there was an "exit payment" included in that godforsaken gentlemen's agreement, contained in that email from JR to Tippett Camp.

Unconfirmed, but if so... say bye bye draft 2012-2014.

Even if it confirmed we haven't actually breeched the salary cap because we havent paid him an exit amount. Instead we have fessed up so we haven't had to do it and breech the salary cap. And even if we did pay him an exit amount (geez what a stupid ****ing idea. Paying someone to leave your club, for unders. ****ing disaster decision) we would then just get it added into our total player payments for next year, not pushing us over the salary cap because we've got room because kurt's 700,000 contract is off our books.

Also no wonder we offered him so much bleeding money to stay this year. It would have been wort it to sign him on and keep the whole sworded thing under wraps.

So I' ve been flat out at work this morning and haven't kept up, can someone give me a dot point update, and are we screwed?

Who exactly would be involved in giving the green light for a deal like that?
Reid and Trigg?
Reid sure walked out as the man.. Cheers for delivering us Kurt mate.. :thumbsu:

Underlining a word doesn't make the sentence anymore factual. Got a source though? Plus, apparently Tippett had no knowledge of the meeting in August. He wasn't told about the Swan's offer until after the prelim final. Blucher on the otherhand......Pedantic maybe but there have been too many rumours thrown around over the last two weeks.

You really believe that????

Given Tony Tippett's interference in everything to do with Kurtley's career you are seriously suggesting the Tippett "clan" had no knowledge??? Get real!!!

Do you believe there's fairies down the bottom of the garden too???

What's the odds that our "incoming" will avoid the #4 jumper next year!

Who would want to wear that shit!
Depends who it is. Strong character, then i'd say yeah, go for it. Make it your own. Someone a bit shy? Maybe a bit too much.

re dangerfield's tweets. he's been on lord howe island for the past few days, he may not be aware of the shitstorm thats going on
