He has/had an overinflated opinion of his skills/abilities.

If the new regime can work on those skills he could be a very damaging player. He needs to kick more goals. 9 last year was very poor. 20+ should be a more like it. Also his free kick ratio is poor. 1.43 ( given away for every one he gets) There is no reason why someone with his gamestyle should give away more frees than he gets.

He hasn't missed a game this century !!! Currently 117 on the trot.

I hope he plays well and is around for a while. Just love those running left foot goals from 50. Hope he can do it again soon.

Those are great points. 9 goals is no way near enough from a player who wants to be an attacking midfielder. and the free kick for/against ratio also doesn't back up the attacking midfielder quota. great little fact file there
