Former Test and SA leg spinner Terry Jenner passed away today in Adelaide at age 66. Terry was also recognised as a leg spinning mentor to Shane Warne.

Sad news. RIP to TJ and condolensces to Ann his partner.

One thing that I hope isn't missed from the TJ story is his charity work. I worked with him at Mission SA during the 1990s and Terry's contribution to the millions we raised courtesy of his sporting contacts should never be underestimated.

I met him (6 months ago?) when he was already very ill. Nice bloke, great dry sense of humour. Clearly this moment was drawing close for him, quite sad as he wasn't old, wasn't resigned to it.

He taught me how to bowl a leggie too when I was a youngster, back in the 70's. I never made it to Warnie heights tho...
