Played key back most of the season spurts in the ruck as well.

Didnt overly impress me in the matches i saw, seemed a little awkward somewhat confused, although he did have a fine match against box hill where he kicked some ripper passes.

Kirby might have a better assessment of him, but i wouldnt pin all my hope on toby right now

provided great comic value as one of the worst players i have ever seen play for collingwood up until (as stated above) the box hill match when he had a purple patch and looked like a world beater for about an hour.

seemed to go better after that match.

probably 30-70 as to whether he will make it, which is a big improvement on where he was headed mid-season.

but frankly, 30-70 is about as good as you could expect for a tall project-type player going as pick 47 in a crap draft.

True McCarthy was a Good Player but I think Thoolen and Casey-Leigh were just Flyers Picks

Yep. When you;
a) trade away your first round pick
b) take the minimum number of National Draftees
c) take a F/S selection amongst that minimum number of National Draftees
d) take only one "live" selection into the Rookie Draft

... you can be pretty sure we think the draft was, on the whole, crap.

My thoughts on Thoolan are well-documented, I hope he's listed as 198+ cm on next year's team sheets, and we see him play some considerable ruck time in 2009 in the VFL.
