Went along today.

My thoughts.

Richo out of the forward 50
Afew matches of him floating around like this and he'll finally make a complete player.

Tambling.
First qtr reminded me of Knighters against the bombers way back.
Inspiring.

JAke King - Watch him run.
Plays footy.

Meat Cleaver - Authoritive. What we need.

Polak - Great - Will get better with time.

Gaspar -DROP HIM.

Tivendale - DROP HIM.

over to u...........

Bitter sweet loss today. Just want a win.

Tackling and pressure good for 3 quarters. As with the Sydney and Bulldogs games, we let them score 2-3 goals in as many minutes when it mattered, to give them leverage. We need to learn how to beat the midfield flood - it's been a major part of losing the games against Sydney, Bulldogs and WC.

A lot of positives from the kids. Mcguanes mark gave me a stir in the underpants. :thumbsu:

Polak was absolutely outstanding.

Kingy runs and runs. Tries to run players down when others would give up.

Mention McGuane oxx. He was fantastic on Hansen. Hansen has good hands but McGuane was outstanding.

Gaspar is well and truely finished. He ****s up by not spoiling. Put your hands in the sky and make the player kick over your hands. Lazy.

Cleve was good.

Tambling was great in the first quarter. Needed more though.

Krakouer had his best game.

Schulz's kicking boots have gone the last 2 games. Get them back on please.

Joel Bowden was good, as was Raines.

Good team effort today by the guys.

MCGUANES MARK! YES TIGERITIS! MASSSSSSSIVE!

That is as positive as i have ever seen you oxx, but you had to find a way to bag Tivendale! :D

Great effort by our younger bridage today. They stood up and took on the challenge. Get a few more games into these boys and the future is looking great! :thumbsu:

Gaspar is useless or what. Wow. Lynch was unlucky not to get 6 or 7 on him in the end. If he kicked straighter would of kicked 6-7 easily. Never seen a team need a real FB more then the Tiges atm. Id give the job to Polak cos hes standing tall atm and its the position you need filled ASAP. Play Bowden as CHB and McGuane as third tall not CHB. Problems are deep down in defence for you it seems. Our forwards carved your defense up.

Tiges certainly showed plenty today. Probably look a little ignorant admitting this but had to dive for the record to see who Hughes was, well and truly had it worked out by the end of the game though, he was very good.

Eagles definately got the rub of the green from the umpires, the overall free kick ended up looking worse than it was though as on top of the 50 / 50 ones that went our way, your boys did give up some silly ones.

The misses by Schulz disappointing as from memory they were all gettable. Big turnaround in the last quarter (not Schultz that time) when you had a shot for goal from on 50, a goal would have put you in front, no score and the ball goes to the other end for an Eagles goal. felt the game shifted big time right there.

The thing that intrigued me, and it is an awfully fine line here so I'm not bagging you mob..... yes the team put up a good showing, but watching a lot of supporters boo off the umpires, and then clap off the players (who in reality did commit plenty of clangers and miss kicks at goal that could have won them the match), does this send the right message? Yes they got some shockers from the umpires, but Johnson's comments at the press conference and this theme of what an outstanding effort it was but the umpires crucified us, does this help the team's development?

Mosst inspiring thing Johmson has done since he's been at the club....go figure.

If we dont believe...................;)

Something i was happy with was polak's pace. He is a lot faster then he was in the first few weeks it was brilliant. And his game in general was great.

Richo should spend limited time up forward. There was one time in the last quarter foley had the ball. Schulz, lids and 2 other tiges were free at about 50-55 out straight in front and foley kicked to Richo in the pocket and he gives away a free kick to Glass. I was spewing.

Mcguane looks like a player. His overhead marking has improved a lot and what a grab.

Tambling was brilliant in the first quarter his pressure off the ball was awesome. Didnt really lay tackles but caraled quite a few eagals. Stepped up in the last, made one mistake with his kick to richo but he has some real brilliance.

JON looks so composed. Please play him for the rest of the season get him game time and he will flourish. Similar with edwards.

King is an absolute gem. Is only a workmen but is so hard at it and chases hard. I think he flattened embley at one stage. First time i'd seen a richmond player put someone on their arse for a long time.

Deledio was once again solid. But apart from the goal his brilliance seems to have been curbed. He used to run like tambling now does but seems to have forgotten how to do it. Looks like he is in cruise control.

Schulz please stop listening to rawlings. Would have slotted those 4 shots last year.

Cleve was awesome. Has to stay up as well. The bomb from outside 50 was unbelievable.

Tucky please learn to kick. absolute shocking skill errors.

The only reason to get Krakouer back is to get him to 100 games. If has any sons hopefully they get his dad and uncles talent.

Polak simply brilliant. Play him down back and he proves his worth.

Raines is starting to get some form back and was much better then last week.

Foley was good. A few skill errors but he is still learning.

Gasper go away and never come back. If the big unit can get a hold of you its time to retire.

Meyer and Polo in for Tuck and Jackson.

Certainly took guts, either that or the anger was at an all time high.

I just hope your younger players don't walk away from today thinking, gee we ran the premiers to a couple of goals, even though we got r*ped by the umpires, good for us, ^%&! we're good.

In the end I think your best was as good if not better than ours. But the turnovers and at times indecision killed you.

Don't be suprised if we go on a Bulldogs 2005 run in the last half of the season. Just seems that some of the younger guys are starting to settle into their roles now (McGuane, Foley) and starting to become familiar with our game. Just got that feeling....

i thought jackson was pretty good. a nice goal and did a great job on braun who had a very limmited impact on the game. (at least thats who they said he was playing on, cant trust fox footy commentators :) )

Out of interest, in the last quarter was Wallace playing Richo loose in West Coasts defence, whilst Cox was playing loose up the other end?

Strange tactic in crunch time.

He was all over the park but did drop back into the hole a couple of times. I think he did that on his own volition. He ran himself into the ground today.

Simple, we were playing at 90% and Eagles 70%. Our enthusiasm in the 1st quarter was fantastic, but class always wins. If they could play with the same intensity all year, they will eventually string a few wins.

Don't think our young kids will get ahead of themselves. They're gonna have good and bad days anyway, so I don't think they'll develop big heads over today. How can they, they lost.

Terry Wallace has got a lot of balls to play all these kids with the pressure of being on the bottom of the ladder and some fans wanting his head. Riewoldt and Meyer won't be far away and he won't be afraid to play them. I'm a huge Wallace fan - I think we're on the right track. Last year we got blown out of the water in a lot of games - we're not seeing that this year - and our kids are getting better and better and better.

Go Tiges :thumbsu:

Was at the game today and walked out gutted but was incredibly pleased with the way the boys came out to play. I thought the players showed a real passion for the strip and were only let down by their turnovers and teething mistakes.

Our turnovers were inevitably our downfall and in time this will improve. It's just a facet of our game we have to keep working on and as players mature it should come naturally.

Tamblings first quarter was brilliant. He is a class act no matter what anyone says about him but what he lacks is consistency. This will probably come in time but we all know what his potential is and how dangerous he can be.

Jake King is just great to watch for me. The way he keeps running and attacking the footy and just chasing is encouraging for everyone around him. I hope TW keeps him in the lineup because its great to have a player with a bit of grunt.

Edwardes is also going to be a very good player. He is a clean footballer and runs very well. I am pleased the recruiting staff saw fit to draft him because once he puts on some weight and develops strength he has the potential to be a great midfielder.

The most pleasing part I thought today was Cleve Hughes. He is a big strong unit and knows how to take a grab. His kicking also seems very sound and once the balls in the air and Cleves under it you're a little more confident of the outcome.

I'm pretty sick of Pettifer, Gaspar and Tivendale but they're gonna play either way so gotta live with it and move on. Pettifer is the most disapointing because he is capable of a lot more of what his dishing out. His pressure and tackling is pathetic and he doesn't kick enough goals damnit. <.<

Schultz was disapointing today but he can take a grab and if he can get his kicking boots on we're 30% more potent.

The umpiring was crap today too. So many 50/50's went against us and at least 3 of these decisions cost us goals. Disgrace.

Can't wait to have Browny back in that forward line too. :thumbsu:

!

thought tambo played a good 4q as well, was pleased with his game...sarge will get a real rocket for this performance and wouldnt suprise me if he was dropped for JR

Tivvers would be leading the best and fairest at this point I reckon. One quiet game and his critics return.

Tigers can make the finals this year!

Whilst you can't fault Jake King's endeavour, his disposal is dreadful. He is not in our best 22 and I'm concerened that the club would draft a 23 YO midget who can't hit a target....

He should be a last resort option.

Mention McGuane oxx. He was fantastic on Hansen. Hansen has good hands but McGuane was outstanding.
McGuane seems to be a good spoiler, plus I noticed a few times he spoils to his advantage. The ball hits the deck, he has kept his feet most times and can knock the ball away again or get possesion.
