My fellow fantasy basketballers

Seeming we have 3 comps running - I thought it would be good to have a place to share news/views common to all leagues.

Come in pull up a chair and help yourself to a hot cup of over priced coffee and shoot the breeze ...

My thoughts were -

* Injuries
* Sharing the love for a certain player (I am thinking the 3 owners of Toine Walker can talk about his latest 3 from 18 effort)
* Special topics

If it flops its Ainges fault if it soars ....its Walker Maverick Ranger taking a bow.

OK - I'll be a knob and reply to my own post with a topic close to my heart ...F/Bball Honour.

The game is fun when it is played like it is meant to be played.

Moo's rules on honour

* Play the game
Whether you are in first place or last place ...you start the season, you finish the season. It is no fun winning when everyone else has packed up and gone.

* Communicate
A bit of trash talk, a post here and there - lets face it we are here for the banter and the love of bball (though I suspect Kenny is here to meet like minded partners who like long walks on the beach but that is another thread).

A quick - in your face Hamster .....helps buid rivalries.

Also if someone sends you a trade offer - reply ...if the answer is no - it is but one click of a button thanks to Mr Yahoo

* Trades Part I
Trading, delisting and waiver wires are very much part of this game.

You need not only draft the best team, but you need to keep managing your list .....you owe it to the league to keep making your team better and competitive. No one wants to win a walkover comp (OK - we all would still take the W but a win over skilled managers means more honour to you!)

* Trades Part II
This is where the honour comes into play.

Unfair trades upset the applecart, with every trade each party should be honestly trying to make their team better.

No sweetheart deals and if you are unsure ....post a question here at the cafe for an honest response. Mmmmmm they are offering to take Marion off you in return for Shaq - unless the offer is from Moo, I'd pass.

Trading is good, but be fair - GM's should win on the basis of their man management skills not cos you like them or you don't check the details of the offer . In all honesty looks like all comps again have a good bunch of blokes so should not be an issue but lets just all agree to do it the Aussie way hard and fair.

* Activity
The draft is perhaps the easy bit ....the real fun begins when the season commences - daily log ins preferred but if you can't manage that every few days is the minimum

* Send the Love
To the Commishs .....great job - cheers.

At the end of each season don't forget to say thanks to them.

Feel free to add or disagree.

Until next time .....Big upyourself boys.

Info on Raja Bell

Jul 27 Bell had surgery on his right knee and will sidelined four to six weeks.
Advice: The arthroscopic surgery was performed Thursday. Team physician Dr. Tom Carter said Bell had mild wear and tear of his kneecap. The doctor said Bell's play should not be limited after the four-to-six week period.

Wade at 10 or Marion at 6 for me as best.

Worst? hard to say ....Carmello early threw me a bit.

I don't want to give away which ones I think were the best, might be trying to acquire them later on ;)

Hated Carmello at 7, and I didn't have Dirk in my top 25 either.

In ours? Well, it all comes down to personal opinion, who you rate and who you don't, etc...

Nothing against you MC, but I was shocked when Pau went with Pick 11, ahead of Amare. Yao early threw me as well, actually, but that might just be because I think Yao's an injury-prone *****y with no heart.

My picking of two unproven centres at #51 and #52 (Aldridge and Nene) will be seen as bad picks and maybe they were. I guess we shall see. Iverson and Billups at 38 and 39 were the steals.

Even though that pick is an absolute abomination, I'll take over his spot if he screws you guys up. I'm in two other keeper leagues, which is why I resisted, but I'll step up if that guy doesn't.
