Prediction Tom Mitchell to return for 3rd rounder?

Yep, he is a controversial figure but both player and former coach have shown increased maturity. The latter now shows he is less likely to play faves and reward performance.

In his last game he was one of our best v the AFL. Since leaving he has won a Charlie, busted a leg and buggered a shoulder. Whenever he plays he gets heaps inc hard ball.

Is there a place back at the Swans for him?

is there a limit on the number of times any one poster can post 'no'?

I'd have him back for that price (although we don't have a 3rd rounder this year) and a middling salary.

The fact is, if he does go somewhere, a 3rd rounder is nowhere near the price, and he'd want decent money unless it was a flag-ready team. Brownlow winner, 28 year old, it'd have to be a first rounder with some other pick shuffling, or a couple of decent 2nds for Hawks to want to budge (and only if they wanted his salary gone too). I don't think they have salary issues, so it'd have to be a reasonable draft pick haul.

Even if we take him back, who does he replace in our midfield? he's 28, gives probably 2 more years of effective service before he starts declining, which then stifles the development of our youth by taking away their gametime.

Are you trolling us, Uncle? I cannot think of any sane reason either the club or it's supporter base would even contemplate this.
would take a draft pick, would take $ from our salary cap (I'd rather spent on Dawson, Gulden, Campbell, McDonald, ...), would take TOG at centre from the likes of Rowbottom, Warner, ...) and I think he left the club for $$$$.
Why would he come back to Sydney and in particular to the Sydney Swans?

Nope. (might be teasing Hawk visitors - but don't tell!)
