There is no ****ing way they will let him go and I'm sure he's happy at Geelong. He's still only in his 2nd year, been injured for alot of this year and once he gets his body right, he's going to potentially be a gun for Geelong. Get real FFS.

No way Geelong would let him go, I can see them perhaps trading Lonergan within a year or two (him, Hawkins and Mooney all can't fit in the same side) so he would be a better target IMHO.

He should be our number 1 target. Problem is there is no way he will leave Geelong, i can pretty much assure you that, definitely worth a chat though.

Great bloke (i'm mates with him), would be a fantastic player to have at Carlton, he has a very big future but unfortunately he won't leave Geelong.

Some nuff nuffs dont seem to understand that it takes more than offering a player $ to get him.

He has to either be traded ( which I doubt we will be able to arrange with the Cats ) or he has to nominate at 300K in the PSD and does anyone actually believe he would do that, and then actually still be there at pick 6 ?

There is no mechanism bar a trade when you dont finnish near last.....and we really dont have anything the Cats would want in an exchange.

The salaries at Geelong must be the bare minimal? I know the players have taken pay cuts etc to keep the club together etc.Would the up and coming players tolerate that also just to have finals success???

I might but he's Geelong through and through, as good as those names are, i'm sure Ablett, Bartel, Scarlett, Corey etc are just as enticing unfortunately.

Not going to get Tommahawk, wont get him out of the pizza hut down there one very few left where u can get all you can eat. wouldn't mind trying to get tom lonergan, he might be pushed out of there team in the next year or two with them wanting to get hawkins in the team, wouldn't cost as much but should be able to kick a couple of goals a year.
