On January 23, 2006, Blair MacKenzie Blake stated the following:

"In a few weeks (mid-February) the members of the band (except for Adam) and their manager will be traveling to parts of Europe, England, Japan and Australia on a bit of a promo tour, meaning that they will be meeting with record company people and doing various interviews with the press in order to promote their new record and upcoming tours."

According to both Tower Records Japan and HMV Japan, the new TOOL album is scheduled for release in Japan on May 10. However, the band and their label have yet to confirm this information or announce a release date for any of the other territories.
