Here is my top 10 players who wear the Old Dark Navy Blue and why:
1. Chris Judd. His work rate adds another dimension to his freakish ability to hit a target under all sorts of pressure
2. Marc Murphy. Highly skilled and amazingly mature for a young bloke and has stood up to incredible pressure for a long time
3. Brendon Fevola. He is a true champion and continuously fights his demons to improve for the sake of the club
4. Matthew Kruezer. In only one game he has outsmarted, outskilled and outrun more seasoned opponents. A legend in the making
5. Eddie Betts. I just love the sheer excitement and spark he brings to the team with his skill and determination
6. Jarrad Waite. What a fantastic pair of hands! Athletic, fast and shaping up to be a leader in the back line
7. Bret Thornton. Another brilliant back who continues to improve. His 22 possessions against St Kilda proves his worth
8. Setanta O’hAilpin. The spirit he brings to the club is immeasurable. He could have been the difference against the Bombers
9. Ryan Houlihan. I love his disposal of the ball. He rarely misses a target and seems to have all the time in the world
10. Paul Bower. Another fantastic backline player who continues to rapidly improve. Thank Christ he got a haircut
