sylvia - big 09, imo still inconsistant at times and can go missing but a gamebreaker
grimes - has played sfa games but from what i've seen he looks great
fanta pants - the master is a solid player and although he will never be a star is a vital cog in your team
davey - would be an absolute star in a good team
green - injuries aside very important

frawley unlucky
cale morton?? I just can't see it? he gets big wraps from the dees supporters but the few games I've watched doe'sn't overly impress me yet? what is his upside and where do you see him in 3 years?

1. Davey - He will continue to be our most effective midfielder. Winning good possession and being the most dangerous player through the middle of the ground.

2. Green - Another class midfielder who will get back to help defence but then also set up and score goals. I also predict he'll play large chunks of the year forward and be very dangerous.

3. Sylvia - needs to step up again from last year, but if he does he can be the most dangerous player we have. Can win the footy in the air or on the ground, tackles hard, kicks long.

4. Bate - our true CHF. Often when he plays well so does the team. I believe the fate of the rest of the talent that will be in our forward line this year - Maric, Wona, Jurrah, Watts etc will depend on what kind of season Bate has. Needs to improve consistency and find a yard to become our 4th best player but I think he is capable.

5. Moloney - this was a tough one, but I've gone with beamer because I think he will probably stay a step ahead of Jones as our number 1 inside mid, and at this stage I predict he will be our 5th best player. Wins the ball, tackles, and kicking is reasonable and I expect him to do all that next year.

Genuine chance top 5 in 2010: Jones, Bruce, Grimes, Morton, Frawley, Garland, Rivers, Jurrah

Outside chance top 5 in 2010: McDonald, Warnock, Jamar, Petterd, Wona, Scully, Trengove

I put him in for his importance. You need somebody to play out of the square and make contests. This is crucial to the development of Jurrah and Watts. I really think both will form a great forward combo but just not this year. Your overall side will improve this year so he should be getting more delivery. You need him to get his best up to around 40 goals. Who else will play out the square?

Not to be rude Wells Train but please leave this board putting Brad Miller in top 5 is an obvious troll and just puts down the rest of our list! :thumbsd:

I think Davey, Green and Sylvia are the only proven match winners at the moment. Jurrah, Grimes, Frawley and Morton are the four who I think can have a break out year in 2010. Moloney, Bruce and Warnock are good, consistent and experienced, but they aren't elite players. Bate, Jones, Rivers, McDonald and Jamar are all important to the side but they are probably on the next rung down.
