Can't happen I don't think because the leader of each Division has to be in the top 4 and aren't Spurs and Hornets in the same Divison as well as Suns and Lakers.

i dont think its work like that. theres only 3 divs in each conference so it couldnt work like that?

It does. Have a look at the 07/08 standings. Utah only finished 4th because they won their conference if not they would have been 6th if it were to just go on overall record.

Just on wins (because I'm lazy):

1. Celtics
2. 76ers
3. Magic
4. Raptors
5. Pistons
6. Cavs
7. Wizards
8. Pacers

1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Rockets
4. Spurs
5. Jazz
6. Blazers
7. Suns
8. Mavericks

East (W/L regular season record)

1 - Boston
2 - Orlando
3- Cleveland
4 - Detroit
5 - Philly
6 - Toronto
7 - Washington
8 - Atlanta (still reckon they'll beat Miami and Milwaukee for the 8th Seed)

Western Confrence

1 - San Antonio (I reckon they have another one or two serious title campaigns left in them)
2 - LA Lakers
3 - New Orleans
4 - Houston
5 - Portland (some might be surprised at how high I've got the Blazers, but I firmly believe in all the Oden hype, and with the other young guns, Portland is ready to return to the playoffs
6 - Utah
7 - Dallas
8 - Denver ...

Big call here ... But I'm tipping Phoenix will miss the playoffs (I do honestly believe that father time is going to catch up on the Suns) ... I could be wrong, they could very well make the playoffs ahead of Denver or Dallas, but there is no way I can consider them a title threat ...

And like last season, I think the top seeds from the East and the West will meet in the finals so it will be Celtics V Spurs ...

MVP - Dwight Howard (just a gut feeling, reckon Orlando is going to shock many teams in the East, and are going to be the biggest threat to Boston in the East, I can't see us having a decent match-up for Superman)
ROY - Greg Oden ...
