Which young gun will come off the rookie list and shine this year?? Also which rookie will end up with best supercoach average at the end of season 2010?
Matthew Panos?
Ranga Edriwickrama?
Micheal Barlow?
Levi Casboult?

For the Tigers, Rookies would be between:
Relton Roberts
Graeme Polak
David Gourdis

Relton could provide some good Supercoach scores with his tackling and goalkicking. Would stay away from Polak, don't think he has 'IT' and Gourdis is looking very promising but not an accumulator.

Watched Relton on Saturday. Could really be something. I'd compare him to a 2008 Aussie Wonaeamirri.

Simon White from Carlton is worth a look.

Blues will probably nominate White and Garlett as our nominated rookies.

White is a ready made 21 year old WAFL player who played well on Anthony according to VFL match reports.

Good size for a first year player.

Podsiadly?:thumbsu::thumbsdown:

Pods is not your traditional rookie at aged 28 or something, but will be the best performer amongst the rookies by a long way.

Ranga's future is unclear, big things expected when he joined the cats but has been hit by soft tissue injuries, and appears to be a long way behind others before being considered for a senior game.

Have heard good things about Michael Barlow, he might be up there.

Another rookie to watch is the Doggies rookie, ex Geelong, Brodie Moles has impressed in NAB cup and almost certain to be upgraded and play round 1. He's 24 so has the benefit of a few preseasons.

On balance, I think Pods will be the standout.

What HHF_07 said and did you not count blokes who debuted last year?

Jordie Mckenzie has been super for Melbourne this year, one of the best performing rookie listed players behind Barlow, Pods and Silvangi.

1) Barlow
2) Pods
3) McKenzie

I cbf thinking more about the rest but those would be my top 3 with the top 2 a step ahead of McKenzie at the moment.

I don't at all understand Misho's list as clearly Scully, Trengove and Martin have been 3 of the best rookies this year if you include National draftees. If you were to include them, I'd probably still have Barlow and Pods at 1 and 2 but then Trengove at 3. He's been superb so far. I'd probably have McKenzie ahead of Scully though.
