Who are your top Ten most important Richmond players in the side and why.

Chris Newman-Smart decisions and uses the ball well
Matthew Richardson-No explanation needed..
Nathan Foley-You'll find if he has a quiet one we usually have a shocker
Shane Tuck-As above..great hands in traffic and has a terrific engine
Trent Cotchin-Will win us many games when fit, great decision making under pressure which we know about already.
Jack Riewoldt-If we're gonna have a good year he has to fire at a consistent rate.
Brett Deledio-Provides class to the team and adds the X Factor
Nathan Brown-See JR.
Troy Simmonds-Hes been down on form in the first 2 weeks but if he can get up and going we'll be a better team.
Luke McGuane/Daniel Jackson-Need 2 players to hold down a star midfielder or a star forward, and it appears these 2 have been earmarked for the job of that, given injuries and form loss (Suga and Will)

Thats just my opinion, thought i'd jump on here before I head to the game...am very excited/nervous!
GO TIGES

ok, this will be quick and i might miss a few so........
1-richo - he is our rock
2-simmonds - we are screwed if he goes down
3-deledio - when he is good he is VERY good
4-moore - best defender
5-foley - clearances
6-tuck - tough nut
7-riewoldt - future gun forward
8-brown - clever classy forward but can have bad day regularly
9-newman - classy
10-morton/cotchin - they both are our future

i couldnt choose between morton and cotchin. i think morton is very valuable to us and cotchin will be a match winner when he is ready to go.

In no order;

Richo - Nothing needs to be said. We all know why.
Brown - Can win games off his own boot and is probably our best kick.
Deledio - Can be the match winner we need. Is a great kick and we need him kicking into our F50 more often.
Moore/McGuane/Thursfield - All equally important because IMO they all compliment eachother and hopefully Thursfield can get back into the side soon.
Simmonds - Without him, our rucks are screwed.
Foley - Is great at contested footy and clearances, something this club has lacked in for a long time.
Tuck - See Foley.
Riewoldt - Gives us structure and hope.
Cotchin - Is going to be a supestar.
Bowden - Is just a smart footballer and the younger guys always give him the ball when in strife.

Thanks Sante you saved me from having to type my list
I think you are spot on and great to see you included Bowden for his footy smarts.

Brett Deledio
Trent Cotchin
Tyrone Vickery
Jack Riewoldt
Nathan Foley
Kelvin Moore-Luke McGuane-Alex Rance
Daniel Jackson
Mitch Morton
Chris Newman
And one of Post-Putt-Graham-Pattison

Imho were not going to be a premiership contender this year and even though im very confident that we will play finals next year but i cant see us being a serious finals contender next year either.

Our premiership clock starts in 2011 and as much as it saddens me to say it i dont think richo will be around then and out of the rest of the older gen (bowden, brown, simmo, johnson, cousins) we will be lucky if 1-2 of them are still playing.

I did mine a bit different to everyone else but even if i was asked tomorrow what group of players to keep if we had to get rid of most of the list it would be the boys above and of course the great cho.

Still a way off but Rance looks to be the goods one of the only highlights for the game thought he did some decent things today.

Our tall backs.
Rance, Thursfield, McGuane and Moore.
One thing Terry hasn't screwed up.

Our future forwards.
Riewoldt and Morton.
Neither are really there yet, but will improve massively.

Then a few others.
Foley, Tuck and Newman.
Senior players who can usually hold their head high.

And the Richo man.
