total war, rome

this is a new game coming out soon, anyone hear about it and what's it like?

Rome Total War is a follow up to Medieval Total War. It uses a new 3d engine and is gonna be huge. Journos doing previews of RTW iust drool. PC Powerplay did a six page preview of it 2 or 3 months ago and raved about it. If you like RTS type games, this is the biggie mate!!

S'possed to be the end of Oct, but you know release dates, could be anytime between then and Chrissie.

I'm also holding my breath for this one. The previous two entries in the total war series were noteworthy for being brilliant, extremely in depth strategy games with breathtaking RTS elements, and also for requiring very meaty processors to run smoothly.

Looking forward to RTW enormously, but i reckon I'm going to need to do a system upgrade to have any chance of making it look okay.
