In response to an opposite thread, which are the appliances in your kitchen that you cannot live without?

When Jennifer (a.k.a. catgirl2002) and I recently got married, we got more than our share of mini-appliances for our kitchen-- and no, not a single toaster amongst the lot! :D

However, we did get some very useful stuff, so on that note, I'll stir the pot (no pun intended) with a couple of such gifts we got that we cannot imagine cooking without ever again...

One is the fat-free grill (yes, the George Foreman model), and another is the combination food processor-and-blender. Feels like we have a whole new kitchen with those doo-dads! :)

Fire away...

Cheers,
William

The fat free grill is a must, it's like having BBQ meat in your kitchen, never use a blender/food processor, prefer the manual way of doing that, I absolutely love my hotdog machine & sandwich maker.

They are the only electronic gadgets I couldn't do without, well in the kitchen anyway. ;)

Kitchen appliances only?

Err.. none. None of the do-dads stuff anyway. Fridge/Freezer and Stove. Toaster isnt a 'do-dad' is it? That would be it.

Ive got the blender, Micro-wave, milkshake maker thingy, steamer, waffle-sandwich thing. Can do all the cooking I need with the four basic's named.

The rest are handy to have sometimes but could do without them just the same.

My Sunbeam pie maker is the best. It makes two pies at a time and you can literally put anything you like in them, leftovers, or any combination of meat and/or vegs and it all happens in under 10 mins.

One of the Carlton players was featured on tv last year at his pie shop and there was a row of my pie makers in his kitchen!

Wow! Something I don't have! Sounds pretty incredible.

Gotta get me more information on this one. :)

Cheers,
William
