Fergus Watts was traded for pick 17 a couple of years ago. That seems pretty fair for a young key position player who looks to have a big future.

Won't be traded. But if he was we'd want your first round pick, which Craig wouldn't be willing to part with.

Everyone is capable of the old brain fart now and then. People make mistakes. So let me get this straight, your willing to trade a lad because he made 1 mistake? Some areas need coaching and developing. He's still just a kid! Do you honestly think the coaches don't look at the tapes and coach the team or ...!? I'm puzzled...

He takes the easy options atleast once a game. I'm sure there will be one that I'll be able to point out tonight, although you notice his lack of effort more live.

I'm sure the coaches look at the tapes, but Mundy seems to have the same problems that Polak and Medhurst had. If we have a good season and Connolly stays Mundy should be traded but won't be.

This is a bit of speculation on my part, but bare with me.

If Pavlich wasn't to re-sign, what trade would "ease the pain" or so to speak?

I've been reading the equivalent thread on the power & adelaide board and it seems that the best possible outcome is the two clubs compete for his signiture thus giving us the upper-hand. A good trade from what i've gathered:

From Port: D.Pearce + N.Krakouer + 1st rnd draft pick.

From Crows: Van Berlo + Sellar + 1st rnd draft pick.

Pearce won't be traded, although I'd be reasonably happy with that deal. Sellar doesn't fit our needs.

How about Van Berlo and Griffen ( East Freo 202cm ruckman)plus a low draft pick. We need another ruckman for Jlo and this Griffen is apparently a good prospect.

We do need a third ruckman, but we don't really need three AFL quality ruckmen. I think we are better to have ruckman who can fill other roles, and personally would be really keen to see Johnson's development in that vein, plus get a long term prospect with a mid-late pick or rookie list rather than someone like Griffin (who i know litle about but recruiting him would be low priority).
