we all know he is a great footballer, but i believe we should trade him for a midfielder with the same potential but more pace that needs to be added to geelongs midfield....
shaun burgoyne, daniel cross, andrew embley,paul hasebly, daniel harris, sam mitchell, simon goodwin all sound good if we could get some like that...
as my dad says "cameron ling is like an old slow clydesdale"

and his possession off the ball is worthless because he always kicks short

Ling has always kicked sideways, the last two years it has started to really hurt the side. He sells his teammates into a lot of trouble and makes too many skill errors. When he kicks it more than 30m he doesn't even look up to see where it is going.

On Friday night, as St Kilda were getting a run on, he chipped it 15.00001m sideways across defensive 50 to a stationery King. King surprisingly took a strong grab out infront of a oncoming Saints player. There was just no need for it and if he had spoiled it was a goal to the Saints.

He cost us 3 or 4 v. Melbourne in the game at skilled last year with the same sort of crappy dinky kicks sideways across defensive 50 and fumbles from kick ins and loose balls on the deck. The umpires managed to give him 3 votes for losing the game as well Russel Robertson kicked 7, won the game for the dees, and only polled 1 *shakes head*

Talk of trading him is stupid for the reasons outlined above but I know if I had a choice of 30 Bartel possessions and 30 Ling possessions who I would choose. Corey too, although he is doing his best Ling impression so far this year.
