Gday all from a first time poster,

Just wondering what you all thing of this trade option. It seems clear to me that we need a good strong KP player and with pick 10 in the draft the best may be gone. How about trading up to pick 3-5 by giving those clubs pick 10 and Leigh Harding? Most people seem to think he's surplus to our needs anyway and may give us a crack at a good young KPP. Thoughts.

I doubt any of Hawthorn, Bulldogs or Richmond would take that trade.
By the sounds of it, the top 4 in the draft are very good and then it drops off.

If we could convince them though - done deal.

As The Zebra said,
Leigh Harding doesn't add a lot to either of those clubs there, I believe he would be more suited at possibly Geelong or maybe even Essendon, but obviously we wont score any higher picks there.

I would offer pick 10 and Sinclair to the Bulldogs in exchange for pick 6. They need experienced campaigners for when the likes of West, Smith and Grant are gone and aren't in any real need of more high draft picks. They could use that pick 10 to ontrade to someone else for another more experienced type.

With North already securing a first rounder in Jesse Smith, pick 10 loses its importance somewhat. Sinclair has high trade value and would be relatively easy to replace in his role on the HB line.

What would the Hawks likely accept, along with pick 10, to trade on their pick 5?
Well, IMO pick 5 should not be traded, or even considered tradable. We need kids, and quality kids which we can get with 2 and 5. We must utilise that.

Unless the trade was ridiculous (ie, someone the ilk of Harris, which we know won't happen.)

Griffen and Roughead will do nicely.
