I reckon a trade period sounds like a good idea and the time of the SOO games makes a perfect opportunity

Just wandering what peoples thoughts are for it? What would you like to see happen?

Obviously there would have be a very valid reason for a player wanting to leave and a couple seem to have popped up, leaving a bottom side to play finals is not one of them :p

I think some have suggested players who arent getting a game so a max games played may be implemented?

Another question for discussion is do we want a free agency type setup where if a player wants to leave they are available to any side with room or do we want straight swaps only but that could make things difficult to achieve

Any ideas please post them here, give this discussion a week or so and I will decide whats best

Cheers

I think players should chat to their captains and if it is ok with both, they should become a free agent or trade bait.
But i think Eddie or someone has to stop silly trades, we need someone to stand in the middle so nothing dodgy happens.
I would encourage a trade period of 1 week, if a player like Browny wants out of a club but doesn't get traded, he should then be a free agent who can replace a non poster on a list.

Free agents. Less then 5 or 6 games then they should be able to leave. More than that then they need to be traded.

Also players that have been delisted/quit from a side early in the year due to personal reasons. If they have sat out of the competition for a number of rounds they should be able to move on.

It's time to come home..............

Free agency. otherwise people (like KingBrown) would be able to be stopped from leaving by arrogant captains who would rather them not play at all, then play for another team.
AC = Graeme Smith.

F with him, and you're out a la Klusener.

I remember (well kinda) many nights when you would leave the pub at 9pm. That is not the kind of attitude I want at Fremantle under my captaincy. This person was more than happy to pull all night benders even during matches. Now that is pure class :D

Oddly enough I have NO recollection of HOW I got home, nor whose home I ended up in. Must have been food poisoning again hey? :D

All I know is, the bruises were not caused by me :D

I think the trade period is gonna be chockers, look forward to seeing the big trade offers. My heart isn't right in it at Queensland at the minute but I will think it over, the banning kind of took a bit out of me, but I will refuse to go to a club that is in the top 5 in the test arena because that is a little selfish. My decision will take a bit of thinking.

Well we've a few unhappy campers because they're out for the season due to delisted. And they've all had keen managers looking to pick them up.

A trade season or free agents, something along the lines needs to be developed so these potential stars can play all year, no matter where.
