Trade Rumour

I heard an interesting trade rumour between Adelaide and port yesterday - and apparently it may be more than just a rumour.

Ben Marsh for Bowen Lockwood - straight out trade.

reasons:
Ben Marshs father and/or grandfather did play for Port Adelaide. His dad wanted him to play for Port in the first place but the crows got him...when his contract ran out last year, he wanted him to be traded to Port but the crows added another year on his contract.

Crows are apparently going after Lockwood with all guns blazing at the moment.

Could be interesting. Lockwood would be good in the crows forward line - inconsistent, always gets injured - just like most crows forwards
Ben Marsh - dunno if i could fit him in at Port in front of Primus, Lade, French, Ackland. He would get a game in front of Brogan tho.

I honestly don't think there is any place for Marsh in the present Power line-up.

Lockwood, however could be just what the doctor ordered for the Crows.

If it happens, it won't be a straight trade, I'm sure POwer will want more than that.

Marsh and a first round draft pick for Lockwood maybe ?

Bit of a rumour that Worsfold may join the Saints and take Campereole with him, Worsfold is matey with Campereole who is also out of contract and asking for $500 grand a year and is pissed of that Porter is now getting paid more than he is.
Sydney are also interested in talking to Hamills manager as they believe he was interested in moving closer to the ACT..only rumours from a couple of sporting goods sales reps..but you never know there may be something to them.

Lockwood isnt worth a 1st rd pick.

I wouldnt trade Marshy for Lockwood, Lockwood usually misses 1/2 the season thorugh injury, and Marsh is our #2 ruckman behind Clarkey.

I'd have to agree QT, Lockwood is over-rated, a good young forward but nothing special. Marsh isn't much better but he is our second ruckman and a handy player on occasions. If Lockwood could get over the injuries he may turn out to be something (he has strung a few together recently) but I wouldn't trade a 1st round pick.

I'd rather we make a concerted effort to snare Pavlich, goodness knows he'd want to get out of there soon and come home. Pavlich should be our main target first, maybe Lockwood later if Port would consider parting with him.

Why would Port want another ruckman. Primus, Lade, Ackland, Brogan, French. There is no way that Marsh would get a game unless 4 of the above were injured.
Adelaide could do with Ben Hollands - Port could promote him to their list then trade, but for who...I think Port would want Graham Johncock ?
Any truth that Pavlich is talking to his uncle.....uncle Bucky !
