Even though this would never happen because of 4 reasons

1. Adelaide would never let him go

2. He has recently re signed with you guys(even thought that doesn't mean a trade can't be done)

3. If he did ever leave it would be to Victoria not us

and

4. He loves Adeladie and would never leave

I thought that I would still put this out there anyway.

Would you guys ever accept a tade like this for..............

PATRICK DANGERFIELD

Trade option

1. 1st Rounder plus Justin Sherman plus Mitch Clark

Trade Option

2. 1st Rounder plus Justin Sherman plus Brendan Fevola

and Trade Option

3. 1st Rounder plus Mitch Clark plus Brendan Fevola

So please don't shoot me down im just wondering if you guys would ever do this or if you think your club would this not if you think the club will do it.

So thoughts?

Cheers LS!

wouldnt think so mate a forward with dodgy groins and an inconsistent mid ie. sherman are not what we need.
daniel rich + 2nd rounder maybe then........

Don't see much point in anything involving Fev, but I like the look of #1.

As much as I love Dangerfield, and envision him going on to great things, Clark showed last year that he could be one hell of a player. Had a shit year this season, but the talent's there to be an absolutely dominant ruckman - something we could REALLY use. Imagine a side with both Tippett and Clark in it once they've hit their peaks - would scare the crap out of any opposition coach. Add in an earlyish 1st rounder and a skilled, attacking mid in Sherman, and that'd be a deal I'd seriously consider. I do worry about Danger's durability, so, while I definitely wouldn't be looking to trade him, this is the type of deal that you'd have to consider.

Op is right, highly unlikely considering we just re-signed him

Option 1 is ok, but Brisbane would not give up 2 players + a first rounder for a player who has played 30 odd games. No matter what potential is there

But it is Voss we are dealing with :p

Danger's durability is a worry, so i would love to see Roo pull him aside, much like Blight did to Roo early in his career and teach him to tone down the impact hits for a longer career

If you offered Clark and Rockliff together (no pick), i would struggle to say no.

Option #1 I would take in a heartbeat. As much as I love Dangerfield in our side, Clark is a modern-day mobile ruckman who can get a decent amount of ball. Add in Sherman and a 1st rounder and it tilts the trade heavily toward us.

There's no way Brisbane would do this trade though.

You're right, Danger isn't old enough

The Crows wouldn't take Fevola, so that rules out options 2 and 3.

Option 1 is attractive - Clark is a gun, your first rounder is likely to be pretty nice, and Sherman as the cherry on top, but I don't think either side would do the trade. Dangerfield is more than just a player to the Crows - he's the kind of player that you can base a marketing campaign on, and is a fair chance to captain the Crows. Meanwhile, as good as Dangerfield is, would Brisbane be willing to trade away their best ruck option and a good pick with both this year and next year's draft pools pilfered by the new clubs, AND lose Sherman as well? I have the feeling both clubs would leave the trade table feeling like they'd lost out on the deal.

Still, from a purely economics point of view, if you'd given me the option in 2007 of turning pick 10 into Sherman, Clark, and another top 10 draft pick in three years time, I reckon I would have taken it :D
