ive herd that collingwood is not contributing to any more trades and are packing up there paper work and going home 4 the rest of the week, so dont expect any other moves been made.

but i do hope something happens.

there saying draft but i think he still has a chance of stayin, a slight chance becaus ethere has been absaloute no intrest

i was at the copeland the other and mick explained that all he wanted was youth as most of u have all herd now

and now lets hope we don't waste them like we hav previous years

Agree. Unless we are teh 3rd wheel in a 3 way or somehitng then that will probably be it. Put our efforts into the draft and possible PSD pickups.

Wow. That was fun.

It gets better every year.

Christ the way we're going about it you would think we have the best list in the comp.

IF it's true that we're done for the week, packing up and going home then it is absolutely disgraceful.

Why not get in there and try and lure a Corrie, McLaren or Pickett? Or something that might be of use.

Very disillusioned right now with everything.

i cant believe it either every year we say that we are going in hard and make changes
ireally dont get it

Why? Of those available, who do we really want.
Corrie, McLaren, Pickett, Hay, Camporeale, Watts, Richards, Bullen, Sellwood ... sheesh, some really quality there!
I'd be fuming if we threw away a pick on any of those.
My only interest would be trying to get more picks for any of the following: O'Bree, Woey, Lonie, Leon, Lockyer.
If we could somehow package one or two of those into another top 30 pick, I'd be rapt.
Doubt it, but then again we got pick 23 for Cole. Thanks Bummers.

for starters obree and leon signed two year deals woey most likely in psd, lonie is staying put he has been told he is wanted at the club and he said himself i want to stay. and stuff bout lockyer beeing traded is rubbish there is no reason y he should go

Woewodin is still up, and I am pretty sure Melbourne will trade a third round for him. I would love to see Woewy in Black and White next year, but Mick has made it pretty much official that he won't be there. Pre-Season Draft the other option ofcourse.

I am glad if this is true. Collingwood should be interested in drafting good young players, to go with good players drafted last year. Not trading away our picks.

We will still pick up a good player in the PSD.

I don't understand why people want a large turn over with our list and trade away players like O'Bree, Lonie, Leon, Lockyer. They may not be our best but it still take some time before our youngster to be as good. An to be honest would we do better then a 3rd round pick for any off these guys. Its better to keep them while they good enough to make the best 22.

Combine the players that where drafted last year and with good drafting this year will make collingwood a good team in a couple off seasons.

true and thats y mick was playing all young kids at the end of the season when the virus of injuries had hit us. they have now a little experience lets see wat we can do with them.

give us your thought on our young kids do u think we have any duds?

im only writing what i hear

Agreed - but you don't hear it from anyone at Collingwood.
You hear if from the press and posters.

Glad we sorted that out, I would hate for you to give the impression someone at Collingwood had said those things when they in fact hadn't

What rubbish zucca. I am quite sure Collingwood would be trying to get something for Woewodin and would listen to offers from any club for almost any player just for a start. It may transpire that we do nothing else but we would not have shut up shop. Only a small percentage of the deals get done before Friday anyway.

Besides, we haven't filled our West Coast Halfway House quota for this year yet.

Listen to what Murray is saying.

Then think about Malthouse's spit about all of the rubbish rumours linking every player to Collingwood. We chased Power. He was unlikely to ever go. So we traded Cole and have offered Woewodin. That's all we need to do!

This is the right way about rebuilding. Replace duds with non-duds. We just have to recruit correctly (duh!).

1. Andrew Williams will be replaced with Xavier Ellis / Shannon Hurn / Patrick Ryder
2. Matthew Lokan will be replaced with Shannon Hurn / Josh Kennedy / Nathan Jones / Richard Douglas
3. Billy Morrison will be replaced by Pick 21
4. Richard Cole will be replaced by Pick 23
5. David King will be replaced by Pick 37
6. Brayden Shaw will be replaced by Pick 53
7. Tommy D may be redrafted or replaced by Pick 69

Woewodin may or may not be retained, depending on who's available in the PSD.

So far as I'm concerned, it's now time for the recruiters to earn their money and draft kids who have athletic ability, footy nous and can kick.

7 picks, with 4 or 5 of them high, allows us to get first crack at the kids, and also enough to draft for specific needs. We need a serious key defender. Obviously need at least 3 crack mids. That should be done in 2, 5, 21 and 23. Then we have two or three picks to get the best available of any variety.

So far the Club is doing stuff correctly.
