I'm actually getting a bit nervous as trade week looms. The club has said that they will both
1. recruit aggressively, and
2. maybe not make many changes at all...
So, which is it?
Who's going?
Who's staying?
Who's coming?
There's really noone I'd like to see the back-end of, but to get the type of player that the club requires (a tough in and under midfielder... well documented), you have to give quality to get quality in return.
Maybe it's a girl thing, but I hate it when a club favourite is moved on. But it will happen. Who would have though the Anvil wouldn't be a Docker in 2003 this time last year.
Thoughts?

im pretty happy to leave it to mick and noel, they havent let me down yet. trade whoever they want aslong as its not for draft picks. nathan brown would be nice, i believe we arent going after stevens. ive heard jacobs or soloman tho, as there not on much, so who knows, ill be happy aslong as we dont trade rocca and tarrant.

I don't think we'll be doing too much during the trade period.
We'll keep our first 2 picks to get Surjan, Spencer and/or Moody.
For trades I would put up:
Cunningham
Thornton
Koops
Siegert
Croad
Waterhouse

Of those players only Koops, Croad and Siegert may have any value at all.

As for players I think we will try and pick up Brett Johnson from the hawks, Corey McGrath from the Bombers or Callum Chambers from the Eagles.

Unless we trade croad for an early pick, I don't think we will be very active during trade week.

You're right there... wouldn't like to see Koopsy go though.

I reckon there'll be a big surprise sprung - someone unexpected will be traded. Maybe it's just the nerves, tho, as I don't know who it would be.
maybe one of the Longmuirs, or Grandson (hope not...:( )...
Just hope if it happens it will be for someone high quality.

I wouldn't be surprised if Troy Longmuir was traded. I hope the Eagles are interested in Koops.

Wouldn't really want Chambers or McGrath. Neither are inside midfielders. Brett Johnson would be a useful pickup and he will come cheap.

Better get him signed - if he's on the market I'd be hoping the Eagles made him an offer.

See... now you got me all nervous again....;) :p

I would think that Polak would be of the highest priority... I'm sure it's just a minor hitch that will be easily overcome.

I'd be a hell of a lot more comfortable going into trade week with Medders, Polak, Haddrill and Tlo all signed up for next year. To be honest, I'd be happy going into next year with the same list and drafting well with our early picks.

Didn't Medhurst agree to terms a few weeks back, if so, whats the hold-up, the seasons finished already.

Polak doesn't seem the sort to hold the club at ransom and it seems as he's happy at Freo. Maybe he's waiting to see what happens to Croady.

I'm not concerned that Haddrill would want to leave, nor consider money a priority. I hope the club doesn't trade him, he'd weigh more than Woods and Hayden combined and we need big bodies to play on big forwards.

As for Tlo, wouldn't be all that suprised to see him traded. Connolly just doesn't see to rate him all that highly.

Do you guys have any chance of getting Coughlan?
I dont think anyone has any chance of getting coughlan he seems pretty happy over there, even talking about captaincy.

Of the players to be traded surely croad has the most value.
I dont think we will be getting any big name players probably only the likes of johnson bartel etc. Have heard the j carr rumour a couple of times i hope it is true

Got some good news on some of those contracts boys.

The Dockers are poised to announce that Paul Medhurst and Robert Haddrill have agreed to new two-year contracts.

Dont think we will be doing much. We have 3 spots because of our short list. It it a sellers market for us for once.

Doesn't that have to be rectified by 2006 under the new CBA. Anyway how about Bartel:mad: for Croad. Would free up cap room for you guys and you will get a very good player in return. Very pi#sed that JB might be going but it seems like he is.
