In particular when you look at the Brisbane Lions from that other league last year. I would have thought the opposite.

All chip product trading, it worked for me.

Nah I think 1 free agent move for each club should be implemented, this way each club can pick up 1 player and if there is a player feeling they need a move they can do so.

The move then needs to be confirmed by league admin.

ONE trade in this period. Why bother with it at all? Just make it able to be done anytime you want as long as another player heads in the opposite direction.

Nah all I'm suggesting it that there should be some free agency added to the mid season trade period thats all.

Teams have recruited and built their list for the season, why should they lose out with potentially no benefit halfway through a season? Players can surely wait it out half a season then they're free agents and can go wherever they want.

Remember that your case of being able to move freely was the exception rather than the rule.

Well sometimes teams just don't have any players that want to leave. All parties have to agree on moving.
