Yeh it's solid. But hardly top 10 material either.

What in your opinion is it missing for it to be "top 10"? He has an even spread of top line premos on every line, the top rookies, the only ruckman that has been dependable so far this year and trades and cash to burn. Reckon he's a great chance.

I think its a pretty decent team too.

Would swap my team with that guys team anyday. :rainbow:

Couple of picks either way (Parker vs Spuddy, Pendles vs Cotchin, Jacobs vs Lobbe) and i'd have an almost identical team. Three picks can totally make or break a side. I've got the exact same backline except i've got Laidler instead of Georgiou. Murphy over Watson is a win for me though lol :)

Your team isn't top ten material either. Purely and simply because it's not scoring as well as his. No doubt he's team lineup will change greatly by years end, but right now it's the perfect team because, well, he's the 7th highest scorer

Credit where crest is due, he's nailed it thus far. What he does from here is the key.

Give me a few weeks. ;)

It's his. Poor word is suffering Griffenitis.

iPad-itis on a tram jam packed full of annoying uni students. I was happy to even have room to type TBH ;)

Why not? A bunch of rookies to cull and premos to bring in. It's not like he'll have the exact same team come round 23.

Or do you object to a lack ot MMurphy?

My point is there are a few players that have over achieved in that team thus far. You're assuming that he's trading them out. We'll see how many of the current top 10 teams are still there in 3-4 weeks time. Looking through those teams, I would say only 1 or 2 tops.

What's the difference between over achieved and break out season?

Maric "overachieved" all of 2012. If you had him early (from the start) you were winning. And after round 6 2012 he could have been considered to be over achieving.

Fact it we don't know who will maintain high scoring for the remainder of the season and end up top 10 in their position.

Neither do you. I'm assuming you have some of those over achieving spuds in your team, hence the defensiveness. :rainbow:

I just wondered how you are the all knowing supercoach oricle who knows what will happen as the season unfolds that will make a superior team to yours all of a sudden finish below you.

But isn't that the point? Picking the players that score better? Where does Dusty fit? Is he an over achiever of an under achiever? Does he belong in a top ten team? Twelve months ago yes. Right now, no.

That's really the whole point in SC. Getting selections right. Some of it's luck, some of its guess work. There is no exact science to selections. Take Westhoff last year as a classic example. He over achieved in the first ten weeks, but those 400-500 "over achieved" points were the difference between sitting 1st or 5,000th. Making up those 400-500 points is tough.

Ill only have 21 trades left after this round, aiming to have 1 per week from the bye rounds onwards.

Currently sitting 450 off the leader on total points...and had some hard luck with McEvoy and Mitchell missing a bit of footy early on....but thats supercoach.

This post makes very little sense. The very essence of SC is to find players who "overachieve" according to the price you buy them for. Criticising the legitimacy of a team for having them is ludicrous.

How many trades do you plan on having at the end of the byes?
And how many upgrades will you have left?

Used all 3 this week. Down to 16. Do not plan on using any for the rest of the MBR's though, barring injury of course.

Hmm, I've got 24 left and 996k cash so I'm planning at least 7. Looking to have a 90% complete team with the only starting non premiums being Suckling, Langdon, Higgins and Crouch.

I went on Crouch a little early... I know he still has 50k or so to make still, but I wanted Watson now as he is so damn low and needed to fix my round 8 bye issues. Crows have a much harder run coming up now after their bye so I think I won't be losing too much value. Plus you have Rutten, Otten, Walker and Douglas to all come back in, plus a couple others in decent form in the SANFL. He MAY not hold his spot.

I've got 21. Will have 18 or 19 left after this week. Have not yet traded one premium or keeper from my initial team. These 3 trades were horrible:

Week 3
Rohan to Ambrose

Week 5
Michie to Cripps

Week 6
LANGDON TO CUTLER!!!!

In week 2 I also did Laidler to KK. Thought that was also a stinker, but it now doesn't look so bad!
