What's going on with the trades? There are rumours going round that we will possibly get Pavlich or Byron Schammer (Both Adelaide Boys). What is the situation with there contracts? Please Explain! Any chance of either of them?

Hasn't Pavlich just re-signed with the Dockers... I am sure someone mentioned this in another thread.
How does trading work, if a player has re-signed with his original team? Does the team picking up the traded player have to honour the contract, ie: pay that contract, or can the new team renegotiate from scratch?

Both Pav & Schammer have agreed to new deals, so they are out of reach (as I doubt we can stop them from putting pen to paper).Originally posted by rainmage
I have it on very good authority that both Schammer and Pavlich WON'T be coming back to Adelaide in the near future.
Byron has just bought a house in Perth and seems to be settling in nicely to the West Aussie environment.
Pav has signed for another two years; he is too valuable for the Dockers to even entertain trading him.

They have both agreed to new deals, but I don't think they have signed on the dotted line. Can't see either backing out of the new deals though.Originally posted by mike2j7
I was the poster. Pavlich has just re-signed a contract for a few years. I think Schammer might have been re-signed as well.

Wouldn't we better off going after a player who wants to return home - eg. Cooney?

l would go for Adam Cooney at 100 miles an hour, it would be possible to get him as cheap as an early second round pick or Ian Perrie and James Gallagher.

The #1 pick at the 2003 National Draft? For a second rounder or Perrie + Gallagher? KG, if you're going to play on the internet, at least try!![]()

West AdelaideSo do I .Originally posted by johnnypanther
However, I do agree with going after Cooney at 100mph
If Ayres is coach maybe he might be interested in a couple of favourites that we dont value that much?Originally posted by McAlmanac
The Bulldogs have plenty of top picks of their own - they would be wanting an established star in his early to mid 20's, given the vacuum of talent at the Whitten Oval underneath the aging stars. The Bulldogs also badly need key position players.
Unfortunately, the Crows are a bit thin for both these types of players.
