this week i am most likely trading twice as i hav sucumb to another two injuries (michael wilson and tadgh kennelly) my 9th of the season thus far. unless ofcoarse nigel lappin decides to play.

here r my options:
lappin and michael wilson for:
judd and birchall ($5200 in bank)/ judd and newman ($36100 in bank)
lewis and bowden ($1900)/ lewis and wirrpunda ($7000)
scott thompson and gilbee ($1800)/ thompson and fletcher ($5400)
Peter burgoyne and lockyer ($11600)/burgoyne and goddard ($20500)/ burgoyne and mcleod ($32100)
kane cornes and newman($26600)

what would be the best trade for the present and the future?

i would go judd/birchall - the burgoyne options are also very enticing

id deff be looking at kane cornes, very consistent dter, or even pick up players like luke power or cheynee stiller for lappin...
down back get birchallor free up some cash and go for roger hayden

i am leaning toward peter burgoyne and goddard, although it is extremely difficult to go past judd although i've already got kerr, and i dont like the fact that judd is tagged every week.

what about suggestions for me i could either do

mooney and s fisher for
j brown and j bowden(20000)/j brown and gilbee(10000)
embley and h shaw(20000)

or i could do goodes/griffen(may depend on money) and mooney
j brown and p burgoyne/j brown and l power/j brown and malceski

or goodes/griffin and s fisher
p burgoyne and heath shaw/l power and shaw/malceski and shaw

I'm headless. I lost this week by 5 points to smoebody whos team I would beat 99 time of 100. Every 2nd rate player on his team had the best game of the year to make matter worse he had Chapman, K.Kornes and Bowden (first time he has performed all year.
Plus I put Hudson on my bench for Darcy - cost me the win.

To make sure it doesn't happen again I traded Brenan for B.Johnson and Foley for l.Power.

As far as your trades are cocerned I would go Gilbee and Bowden in the backs.
Midfield L.Power ery cheap at 300.0

im 8 grand short from trading
a.walker to shaw and s.burgoyne to power...
really want heath shaw not sure if i should downgrade a cash cow to do it or not...
can go carozzo to shaw adn s. burger to power
or a.walker to shaw and s.burger to p.burger
not sure of any options...
also still have brennan the chook...

IMO buying luke power is not such a good idea. yes he is a superstar, but you must go on current form, and atm he is heavily underperforming, plus he is getting tagged. i would much rather go for an inform peter burgoyne

he had 2 bad rounds. One against sydney were no one performed well for brissy that day.

Otherwise is averaging 83 without that game and will jsut improve. gun at his price.

but i am also considering peter burgoyne

Had Luke Power for half the year last year and averaged 100 for me. Very underrated, very good for dreamteam, gets a lot of each stat except hitouts.

2 bad round out of 5, for a player of his price and talent he should not have had 2 bad games, plus he should be averaging well over 83. i'm not saying he isnt a gun, but on current form and price peter burgoyne would have to be the wiser option.

peter burgoyne and luke power are not in the same class when it comes to dt.
power in the 4 seasons prior to this has averaged at least 86 for dt in each of those seasons while burgoyne only once back in 2003.

most players tend to struggle against sydney, particularly at the scg which explains one of his bad scores. the other i'm not too sure about but even the good players have bad days.

while i don't think power will average 100 for his remaining games, an average of 90 is very realistic.

i reiterate my point once again, based on current form and price it would be wise to pick up peter burgoyne. Also in recent weeks luke power has been tagged and i doubt you will have to worry about that with peter has port adelaide have many players/midfielders better than peter like chad cornes and shaun burgoyne (yes suspended for 2 weeks but when he gets back he will be tagged as he has been for majority of the season).

the point is, history shows that peter burgoyne while a great player is often streaky and inconsistent.

being a brisbane supporter and watching all games this season, have not noticed too many major tagging roles put on power. the opposition are generally throwing at least 2 people in defense to mind jono brown and their best tagger normally goes on black and the other guy i've noticed getting tagged a bit is stiller who is fast becoming brisbane's real ball magnet.

not only that, power has seemed to turn the corner with a better performance last week. i'll reiterate what i said, while power might not do what he did last year, there is no way that peter has more dt points than power at the end of the season, injuries and suspensions aside. and their price is about 10k difference so is virtually irrelevant for 300k players.

history means very little IMO, rodans history showed that he was averaging 40's and yet has proved that he can score highly and consistantly. did history show that tarkyn lockyer was high scoring and consistant? both players have sucumb to injury over the past 2 years and both are scoring highly and consistantly. history is often decieving.

rodan is a different case altogether because he is playing for a different club and his circumstance have changed. he is playing for his football career this season so is playing with hunger as well. bad example

tarkyn has started well and looks good, but i'm not totally buying into him either, and doesn't even come into calculations now given his hefty price.

Comparing Rodan to Power. Can I have some of the stuff your having!!!!! Rodan will be lucky to be in the Port side by the end of the year when teams start to take even a small interest in him his point scoring will drop dramatically. Anybody remember Motlop fromlast year? Having 2-3 good games does not make you consistant 2-3 years does though

Power is a gun and will have an average of 80 - 90 for the year

IMO I wouldn't make that call until at least the season's end. He'll definitely be averaging more than he was valued at the start of the season but whether he can keep up his current avg is another matter.

OMG are you an idiot?!!! of course history means something. rodan changed clubs and is playing a midfield role at power, he played like 20 minutes a game for richmond, not to mention he came off a knee reco.

plus its been like 5 ****ing games!!! how can you say lockyer has scored consistently?! wait for the end of the season, when collingwood get their full structure back.

power for the win. historically consistent.

I think you'll find he scored about 40 vs Sydney last year aswell.

He may well be a bit rusty, but he has been good for the last 4 years, which is good enough for me.

fletcher in kenelly out
power or malcheski in foley out

Are these trades worth it? should i get power or malcheski considering i already have black in my mid field?

either that or i can keep foley for another week and upgrade kenelly to mcfee???? what should i do?
