As you have probably seen on TV, there was a train crash near Ballarat.
I can tell you that two ppl have been charged.

46 ppl were injured and were taken to the Ballarat Base hospital.

My mum was on the carriage that derailed due to a ute being in the road. She is doing well. She has only got some minor facial injuries which includes a fractured eye socket(similar to what James Hird had last year.)

Pair to face court over Vic train derailment

Two men charged over the train derailment near Ballan in western Victoria on Saturday will appear in the Ballarat Magistrates Court today.

More than 40 people were hurt and several remain in hospital with serious injuries after the Ballarat-bound train ploughed into a utility near Ballan.

Two Wyndham Vale men, aged 35 and 23, will appear in court charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, one is also charged with recklessly causing serious injuries and the other faces one count of conspiracy

Former Melbourne train driver Willian Van Ravenstein, who was on the train, says when the crash occurred he thought his time was up.

"I think very lucky, I think that we lucky we got strong trains, if the trains were flimsy I would have been gone," he said.

Victorian Transport Minister Peter Batchelor expressed relief while visiting the crash site.

"A much bigger tragedy could have occurred and it's miraculous that there weren't fatalities and more serious injuries," he said.

There have been calls for the introduction of seatbelts on trains but Mr Batchelor says that has not been an issue in other rail investigations.

He says a Board of Inquiry will be held into this accident.

"If there are recommendations along those lines that are needed, that'll come out of that inquiry," he said.

Rail services between Melbourne and Ballarat are expected to resume during this morning, after workers cleared the tracks around the train derailment site.

The area was cleared sooner than expected but passengers from Ballarat and Ballan are still being bussed to Melbourne for the time being.

The three derailed carriages are also being removed from the site and taken to Melbourne for repair.

If that is considered a "minor" injury, then Jimmy Hird must be an absolute pussy. :o

It was a minor injury if you compare it to other ppl who broke bones or have serious head injuries. It is pretty bad.

My mum has got some minor cuts around her face as well as a small fracture to her eye socket.

HA! Comparing your mothers minor injuries from a train derailment to a serious injury to an AFL footballer. Laughable.

On the same logic, I am a better batsman than Matthew Hayden because I didn't go out in backyard cricket on the weekend.

You think it is funny. Maybe you should have a look at how serious my mum's injuries really are.

I can tell you it is not a laughing matter. Only idiots who think that doing stupid things think that derailing a train or piffing a rock into a tram window is funny.

It is blatantly obvious that if brains were petrol, you would not have enough to get a p1ss ant in a go kart around the inside of a cheezel.

You are a Tool.

You haven't failed to respond with your typical, standard and mindless dribble. Well done.

What you said was ******ed, there is no denying that.

You are an ignorant prick. I wouldn't be surprised if you were one of the 2 clowns who actually did this act of stupidity.

And what you said rings true for every Mac Operator in the world. Bitterness at others because you are talentless.

It must hurt inside to know that you're going to be bossed around for the rest of your short shelf-life career. You're like a delivery driver. Sure you may bring the product to the market place, but it was never your idea, because quite simply, you don't have a creative thought in your body. Instead, you are simply told what to do. You must leave work every day, an empty, empty shell of a person.

Now get back to your exciting real estate brochures and country newspaper ads. That you most probably do in Publisher with Clip Art o' plenty.

They were clowns?! No wonder they weren't too hard to find. Big red noses most likely gave them away.

I empathise with your mum, but saying she's like James Hird is like me saying I'm Mike Tyson because I've nibbled on someones ear. Admit it, it's stupid.

The doctor said that her injuries were similar to James Hird. But you only think about yourself as usual

You've got no idea, do you cobber?

And where did the anti-mac tantrum come from? Surely someone so passionately adversed to mac-operators would know that Publisher is a windows program, and not available on a mac platform...

As for getting bossed around - the only bossing being done will be from my fine self, as being a freelance designer affords me the right to choose the work I do, and it certainly does not include real estate brochures or country newspaper ads...

I think you're the bitter one, little boy... Get well soon.

It was clowns in a clown's car that caused this??

Were there still clowns piling out of the car when the police arrived? Maybe that is where all the injuries came from??

Well it's no wonder then.....always fun and games until someone derails a train.

So clowns weren't involved. I take back my last post in this thread, I just assumed from what you said that it had something to do with clowns, when it was actually fishermen.
