Gotta love Labour and how they handle unions...let's see them bend over right about...now!

What's it got to do with Labor? The public transport companies are privately owned.

Strike (if you can call it that) is over already (5.00pm).

Heard on the radio that the 'strike' was over at like 5, but we had some parents arriving at the centre late to pick up their kids because apparently trains were delayed for up to an hour (we're on the Frankston line at work). So yeah.

What caused it???? I didn't know anything about it till one of the juniors was late for work around 4.............

What caused it was a window falling out of a train as it went past a level crossing and injuring a woman waiting at the crossing. The local OHS rep issued a stop work notice which was later ratified by an inspector.

Why did the window fall out? It appears at this stage vandalism. It appears as though it is now easier to kick windows out because the train company' UK parent decided that the old way was too costly as it required TWO people to fit a window rather than ONE. The remedial action recommended to them to fix he problem has also been deemed too expensive. Dollars it seems are more important than public safety, particularly when it's our safety.



P.S Hitman, better watch that bias old son, next you'll be telling me the state government and the unions were responsible for the job losses last month at my the company I work for rather than the ineptitude of the senior management.
