I Went down to training today to see how the coaching staff would react to the beating we copped and i was quite happy with what i saw.

Firstly Wallace didnt take the session it was Rawlings again which i know some people aren't happy with but this training session was all about getting Sunday out of the playing groups mind. They were split up into 5 groups at the start.

1 group kicking to eachother having to use their voice if they wanted the ball.
1 group playing Vegie with McRae hitting the balls
1 group having Royal bump the ball back into the group ensuring pressure was on
2 groups doing different handball drills.

They then came together and had a fun game where there was 2 sides and each player got a kick trying to get the ball in the bin. Not one player got the ball in the bin but it seemed to count if you hit it on the full.
Danny Meyer, Joel Bowden, Trent Cotchin were the players i remember that definately hit the bin.

Mark Coughlan was out there doing kick to kick with a trainer and then some handball drills with Johnno.

At the end everyone went in but Hughes and Morton who stayed out for 2 minutes with Cleve practicing marking on the lead which was nice to see him showing he cared.

Richo had a big bandage on his knee but i am sure it is just because of the problems he has been having and keeping it warm

Thanks for the update!

I dont think they'd be too harsh on the team just yet. If however we get smashed again this week i'd hope to see them copping it on the training track.

Any clue on who would come in for Johnson?

My money is on tivendale. Anyone wishing to bet against me? Happy to take your cash.

According to SEN: "Terry said he won't be making alot of changes this week to see how his players bounch back"

Load of shit if you ask me. When we are performing we don't make changes, and then when are losing we don't make changes.

Obvioulsy Johnson will be out this week but Hyde would have to be an obvious ommission and King, Edwards, White and Riewoldt would all be riding their luck. Time to give Polo, JON, Conners, and co another chance IMO.

They all came together at one stage and there was a big cheer as if to highlight one bloke which i thought may have meant something to do with selection but i couldnt see who it was. I then saw there was a bloke out there training who i had no clue who it was. He was wearing 30 but i can assure you it wasnt Tambo.

Not many changes hey Terry? That's fine. Fonzy was right though. Priority pick this year means you get the arse!!!

Maybe it was someone's birthday and they were cutting a cake?

a scholarship player perhaps ?

It's actually a good idea for them to have fun, if you just went at them the whole time at training their morale could be crushed, at least if they spend the majority of the session training hard then have a bit of fun after the tough stuff it shows that they have comradere, in past years there was this sense of selfishness, like everyone played for themselves, those guys helping others out is a good thing, it shows that they are now a team.

Fair enough not to make many changes i reckon, we are playing a young side so they will have off days and we have to accpet that, i would be more annoyed if we dropped riewoldt edwards and cotchin than if we keep them in. Another flogging and i would expect changes

can we please giv a game to the guys that r always injured........they are finally i jury free !!:)

casserly
jon
collins
meyer
c'mon they have finally got themselves right , i would like to c what they can do

I think that bin game is there version of state of origin, the two teams are the vics v the rest.

no changes means the blokes that suffered form the loss are out there again and determined to make amens (sp?)

cotcha now - JON broke a bone in his arm i think and meyer has a hip problem i think (gone) and casserly will probably do a hammy tomorrow.

He wasn't wearing a red cape and his undies on the outside was he? Could slot nicely into CHF / CHB.
