Am I right in saying you live nearby? That should make it easier.
Yup. Can usually get there in 15 mins with train to jolimont and then walk.

V short session first day back. All done by 9.50am…

It was mainly running and a bit of skills work, but here are a Few brief comments from what I saw.

Angus A - stand out from the running session. Second only to Roan Steel, but ahead of Lippa and the other smalls. Impressive and garnered applause from his teammates. Will feature in preseason games methinks…

Noah Howes - also ran v well. Won the running session across all the bigs / keys. This kid has now impressed with kicking and running drills. Let’s hope it translates to the real stuff.

Jakob Ryan - disappointing in the running. Maybe carrying a niggle, but was last amongst the keys… a stark contrast to when he arrived at the club.

West - keeping up with the other keys in running, which was pleasing to see.

Ed Allan - still skinny in the legs, but practising his explosion from stoppage, which we need to see in games. Make or break year for Ed.

Jiath - putting in in the running which was good to see. Looks keen.

Jack buller - a better runner than initially thought. His action looked ungainly, but he was quite strong in the running drills, albeit petering out towards the end.

Long - ripped. V low skin folds, always putting in 100%

Cochran - not standing out in the running, which was disappointing. Supposedly an athlete, but in the middle of the pack only for keys.

Prindable - included in ‘senior’ running drills. Still looking composed and reliable. Other first year players given a reprieve from extended running drills. Swadling still looks good physically, whilst McCarthy in particular needs a lot of time in the gym. V skinny upper body. Will need 2 years minimum.

JDG - running quarter laps only. Looking good though.

Not much else to report tbh, other than perryman and Harrison were doing in close skills drills with other mids, which I found interesting. Maybe just a rotational thing…

Track Watch: Superstar Pie absent from main group as Heppell dons black and white for first time

Nick Daicos spent the entirety of the session away from the main group, completing light duties and running for the two-and-a-half hours spent on track.
Daicos began with sprints along the wings of Collingwood's training pitch, before moving on to solo disposal and goal-kicking drills with some of the Magpies' assistant coaches.

Beau McCreery was a notable absentee, as he remains sidelined following a procedure on his foot during the off-season.

Surely if Nick can’t yet complete full training he doesn’t participate in the origin game.
