I changed it to worldwide and got into a game super fast, don't know what region I was put in but it definitely felt pretty good.

Keep it on regional, you may have to wait an extra minute or two (if you're hosting) but it's worth it.

Yeah I will do so from now on. No doubt much of it was because of the time I was playing on a Thursday night/Friday morning.

I had 2 people join and we were waiting for one more but there just wasn't anyone else joining, they ended up leaving and I tried searching again for no result so changed it to worldwide and got into a game instantly.

OMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

tonight i've been put into aussie servers 3 times in a row and it was absolutely BLISSFUL!....i knew the first one was aussie because all 3 were on the mic and they had aussie accents so i was already happy as. match starts and i absolutely kill it and get my trophy for being top of multiplayer (which i did easily considering my shots were actually nailing them!)
my team led by me destroyed them. then at the lobby they say "let's leave and reparty" and i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! not knowing if i would find an aussie game again considering that was the first in about 4 hours of multiplayer gameplay.

so i join another match with them in it and they left half way through when i'm on a 6 kill streak and have caught about 7 bases in a basically flawless game (2 assists)

then i join another random game which seems to be aussie and that host quits mid game when i'm smashing it to!

i FINALLY get into some aussie games but they quit out!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!


on the positive side at least i know that some aussie games are surfacing and will be able to persist with the multiplayer. still breaks the :heart: :(

Went to a couple of stores today to pick up this baby but they were sold out :( so i grabed DJ Hero for $24 instead (damn you GAME sale) maybe next weekend i spose.

Getting minimal lag on Live.

GoW III really your GOTY? It just didn't do enough for me TBH.

BC 2, RDR and SMG 2 all far superior, IMO of course.

I'd say SMG will be my GOTY, although I do love Dead Rising so who knows..

Was absolutely blown away by GoW3. Not as good as 1 and 2 (although I still haven't finished 2) but it was still an amazing game.

The best boss fights I've encountered in a game, epic story, fluid gameplay and amazing visuals.

RDR is a stunning game at the moment (and still yet to finish it myself after putting 50+ hours in) but I don't see it being better overall. Same goes for BC2 which had a pretty damn good campaign and multiplayer that has been marred by lag recently and it not being great fun to play when on your own.

Got this for $49 at JB yesterday

Wow, after hearing so many good things from so many people and me being easily amused, especially by third person shooters, this is the biggest pile of garbage I've ever played (exaggeration).

Started the Decepticon campaign and it's very, very average IMO

Fantastic game, but I think SMG 2 will take the honours from most major publications. Mass Effect will surely get some mentions too though.

It's funny, I've been thinking lately how the PS3 has really been coming into it's own in regards to exclusives, but two of the best games of the year are 360 and Wii exclusives respectively.

Just goes to show, it's never a bad thing to own them all! :p

a) The campaign gets better
b) The multiplayer is where it's at

Or the second chapter when you play Starscream and his cronies? The first chapter is more of a introductory/training type setup.

The 2nd chapter as starscream - the controls are terrible

I find him too slow when flying normally and too fast when you boost - hard to control

section 2 of chapter 8 on hard is a pain in the ass!! :mad:

where
you have to free omega supreme from his prison and ratchet has come in to heal him and get rid of the dark energon shards and you need to stop 4 waves of enemies from attacking/killing ratchet as well as yourself. (each wave is 25% of completion for omega supreme being restored)
i've set up proximity mines in the general areas of where the enemies come from after each 1/4....i use the weapons that the heavy/brute guys are carrying and i continually race around the back to grab a new shield every time mine has depleted but when it gets to the last 5-10% of guys it's just to much.
if they knock ratchet down and you go to revive him you're a sitting duck and you can say goodbye to your sheild and by the time you come out of reviving him you are completely surrounded by heavies, air attackers and medium powered attackers a bit further back with almost no chance to get around back and grab another shield.....absolutely insane.

i've eaten now so my headache has gone and might be able to take it but it's frustratingly tough when it gets to the last swarm of guys.

Make sure you open up the three turrets when they spawn about Mid way and protect the healing rays.

Also I've only done this level on co-op hard and normal SP

yep, done that

then when i kill the heavier dudes i grab their weapons to bring down the bottom near me to switch to but if the other guy ever goes down...it's basically over.

i will try again now but i'm almost certain i need a partner to co-op it because the ai teammates are truly useless...don't damage enemies at all and don't revive lol

wish me luck lol

Yeah on hard SP I can see how AI teammates would hinder with that level.

i think it was due to my headache before because i absolutely pwned it then with no worries whatsoever first shot lol

now i have
a ****ing tank to worry about :o
